FANTASY HELP NEEDED
brees is my keeper, and i dont like the idea of having too many players from one offense. but it seems inevitable that either colston, PT, bush, of shockey are gonna fall into my lap and im just not strong enough to say no to all of them.
colston is one of my favorite receivers, but brees spreads the ball so much...and i can see myself picking up meachem in a later round. PT is my boy, but he will be sharing carries, BUT he would hopefully get the bulk of the goal line carries. bush is a fantasy superstar, but might be overrated and only available in the possibly too early rounds. and shockey is always injured.

TEs that are going to score you points are hard to come by
depending on who you have as an available TE right now, Shockey will look good for you under the Saints pass happy system.
There is too great a market for WRs this year to put too much bank in Colston. If you are in need of a solid RB, then PT isn’t a bad option depending on what else is available.

shockey was hurt last year
and he still had 50 receptions last year, there should be an improvement in his stats

Bush
Don’t know when your draft is, but if Reggie proves himself to be healthy in the next few weeks, he’d be my first choice. If he has even some minor setbacks, I’d go PT. You’re right, Brees is gonna spread the ball around quite often. If Colston stays healthy (Please God, make it so), he’ll get the most, but I doubt he’ll be consistently putting up as much fantasy points as a healthy Reggie or PT. I also would have to wait until camp is over at the earliest to decide if Shockey will be worth a high draft pick.
Go Saints!!!! Deuce may be gone, but he will never be forgotten.

none of the above
Since you already have Brees, I would avoid all other Saints, with the possible exception of Garrett Hartley, since his success is not entirely dependent on the success of the offense. The Saints had the number one offense in the league LAST year. They SHOULD have a similarly successful offense this year, but there are no guarantees in pro football. There are some weeks that they could completely tank. Favorite team or not, I avoid double-dipping like the plague. The more diversified your fantasy team is, the better you will weather unforeseen scenarios, such as a game postponed because of a hurricane (you’d still have to field a team that week), cold streaks, major injuries, inclement weather, late season player benchings (in a case where they wrap up home field advantage early or cannot improve their seeding), etc.

btw
Current overall ADP (average draft position) on all Saints:
Brees 17.45
Colston 26.21
Thomas 32.27
Bush 42.60
Moore 65.70
Shockey 124.60
Hartley 184.39
Meachem 208.83
Divide those numbers by the number of teams in your league. That will give you a rough idea of where you should be targeting those particular players. As I said, in your particular case, I wouldn’t be targeting any. If you’re stubborn, at least this will give you something to work with. Meachem’s a big time sleeper right now. I expect his stock to climb steadily throughout the preseason.

thanks guys
its a ten team league
my 5th round pick is overall pick # 48…if bush is still there (he wont be) then i have to grab him. same thing if PT is still hanging around.

i'd get bush
he’s a fantasy stud. he was leading all RBs in points untill he got hurt last year. Even then, he kept the lead the week after he got hurt. it wasn’t untill the 2nd week that someone passed him in points. I agree that our offense is spread around alot but Colston is a pretty consistent good producer except for he got hurt. To be honest with you, I play favorites with the Saints :D. I have Brees/Colston/Bush on all of mine and went with Shockey in one of them b/c he was the best available at the TE position. Hoping to trade him for someone like Greg Olsen. Moore is usually available at a steal, especially if he comes as a backup WR. Probably will be the same with Meachem this year. Definetly get Brees/Colston. I think Colston will get plenty of TDs.
Superbowl bound!!!...I hope? Go Saints! :D
