Jammal Brown out "at least" six weeks
The T-P confirms it. He's had hip surgery and we won't have our Pro Bowl LT for at least six weeks.

Every Jammal Brown link adds a week or two
So by October, he should be retired, right?

Bushrod is a decent LT. Some insiders say he’ll eventually make Jammal Brown expendable. By the way Saints officials can opt out of their contract with Brown at the end of the season. I’m not saying that is going to happen but that’s a fact.

BAW:
I think they’ll stay with Bushrod as long as he’s doing the job, even when Brown comes back. Remember what happened to Jamar Nesbit and Carl Nicks stepped in last season and he’s still in the starting lineup.

I'm OK with Bushrod so far
Of course, we haven’t, you know, played a game yet. But I am on the “J.B. is overhyped” bandwagon, and Bushrod held up decently against Mario Williams(not brilliantly, but decently) and Miami’s 1st string 3-4 blitzing scheme(I blame Harrington more than the line). He was a very respectable run-blocking lineman in the preseason, which is what excites me.
