- This is a game decided by defense. Saints’ D will shine, 2 INTs, 3 FF’s/1 recovery. 4 sacks (2 by Ellis, 1 by McCray, 1 by Shanle -yes I just typed that). Lions D, however, will give us fits. Honestly, don’t underestimate these guys. I see a close game.

- Brees throws 3 TDs (one to Shockey, one deep one to Meachem, and a screen pass to Bush) and has over 300 yards with 1 INT. He gets sacked once.

How come I predicted Saints get two picks

they get 3 – you say NO!

St Bevo says Reggie AND Bell get 50 yards rushing- shouldn’t that be NO?

And Drew Brees throws for 3 TDs and 350 yards – you say 1/2

    I predict 2 interceptions- they get 3 isn’t that a 2/3?

    you need to say...

“The Saints will get AT LEAST two picks” or “The Saints get 2+ picks”

I have said this last year, it’s all about how you word it. :-)

Mike Bell DID have 60+ yards. Reggie did not, therefore HALF of his prediction is correct.

i think if you predict that 2 guys will get more than 60 yards

and they don’t, it should be a no. Think about it, I could say Bell, PT and Bush will each get more than 40 yards. Now, do we really want to b giving people 1/3 credit or 2/3 credit? It should be right or wrong.

Aw come on man, I got #3 more than close enough. He did look pretty good for a rookie… especially playing for a team that has sucked as bad as the Lions have of late. And he did have a couple of nifty dance-away-from-a-sack moves. And he had a rude “welcome to the NFL” day (what does he need, five picks to qualify here?).

That’s good enough to call #3 right.

by FriarBob on Sep 14, 2009 7:39 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

    Fair enough...

…but that third prediction is much more subjective than just numbers. It’s hard to say.

Oh and for the future, you need to make the YES stand out more. Colors and/or bolds or something. Make it easy on people to see them when we’re trying to read that massive table.

by FriarBob on Sep 14, 2009 7:42 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

    FB.,.

that is a wonderful idea and I think you are absolutely correct. It would be much easier to read. That being said…I’m not doing it. This already takes long enough to put together. Adding the colors alone would double the time, unless MT knows an html code trick that I don’t. Sorry. :-(

    here you go

    (font color=“red”)(b)YES(/b)

    Simply replace the “( )” with “< >” and TA-DAH!

… …. …… alright, the “font color” code doesn’t work in comments but it does work in fanposts.

    thank you for the help!

but I have to do it in html view, right? It’s kind of a pain in the butt to search through all that code.

Wanna say something? Sign up! It's free!

by Saintsational on Sep 15, 2009 12:26 AM CDT up reply actions   0 recs

Search and replace? Even if you’re stuck using the browser for it you can probably get that to work.

Another option would be to create the table in word or better yet a “real” HTML editor where the WYSIWYG works a bit better (dreamweaver or some freebie from the net) and then copy the HTML from that into the HTML editor on the fan-post. Then switch back to “normal” view and double-check that it looks OK.
