Anthony Hargrove Finds Inspiration at Pizza Hut
Ah, Pizza Hut. Where all great men go to do their deepest thinking. In case you didn't know, life's great mysteries are best contemplated over a personal pan pizza; extra pepperoni.
Just found this on Twitter. Not sure if I'm supposed to laugh or cry. Either way, I thought it was worth posting. From the supafreak himself.
decided that i wanted wings and garlic bread for lunch...chillin at pizza hut...im reminded this is the place where dreams are made...when ur done afta a pee wee game...and u say i gonna play in da NFL...At 26..my dreams have cum tru..it seems almost like poerty to be here. I read up on him
here. the guys had a rough life. good for him. the tweet was pretty funny, but its nice to see an NFL player actually get it after messing up and come through on his promise to change.
I remember...
Going to the Pizza Inn in Tarrytown for the end of season banquet. When I played 7-8 year old football in Belle Chase our games were early on saturday morning!!! I was lucky if my grandfather bought me a pickle from the concession stand after the game. We would get home well before lunch!
I can see how eating there today would bring back those great memories…..

there are still pizza huts in new orleans?
where? the one on wash and s claiborne is closed, along with the one on poland and n claiborne. they had one out east on bullard but i think it is closed too. dammit, i want wings and garlic bread. i think hargrove left out a key component of information in his tweet
probably out in Metairie or Kenner
But there is one on Prytania and Upperline in the same shopping center as CVS, across from Creole Creamery and next to Upperline Restaurant.

YOU PEOPLE LIVE IN NEW ORLEANS, FOR GOD'S SAKE!
And you’re talking about eating at PIZZA HUT?!
By all that’s holy, and for the sake of the rest of us who have to subsist in the Land of Substandard Food, go have a po-boy! Either that or Fed-Ex me a large box of Leidenheimer’s. And a couple tubs of Dorignac’s gumbo. And some bread pudding! (I like Mother’s)

Smell Greatness
Yup
And one of my favorite parts is that scene when he’s living in the back of that truck at the circus.
Man, I could quote that movie ALL NIGHT LONG. Glad you appreciate it, too!
Smell Greatness
I love the part when he’s leaving, “All i need is this lamp. This lamp and this remote control” etc. I don’t remember it word for word but that stuff made my stomach hurt from laughing! LOL
and this paddle ball game, and this...
I say a variation on that line all the time and it drives my wife nuts, I think. LOL is right
