Drew Brees, Jonathan Vilma and Marques Colston all declined requests to be the opposing player on tomorrow's conference call with the New York media. Dissed by three players; that has to be unprecedented. What are they afraid of?

"What are they afraid of?"
That Lilliputian turd Mike Lupica. He can suck it.
"Gowin on fourth and 14 will punt it away. He hangs it very high, angling it for the near sideline...HAKIM DROPS THE BALL!!! HAKIM DROPS THE BALL!! Brian Milne might've fallen on it at the ten yard line! It's the New Orleans Saints' football! Brian Milne, the most unlikely hero of them all, falls on the fumble, the muff by Hakim! There is a God after all!" -- Jim Henderson

Nobody's Afraid of Anything
Our players are just not interested in anything but getting ready for this game. The only reason the New York media wants them to do interviews so they can have something for the Jets to feed off of. Naw that’s ok. The Saints don’t need to trash talk another team to get amped up for a game but it seems like the Jets do.
Get ready to FEEL DAT BREES!!!

Looking forward to the Big Easy game
The Saint’s are my adopted team as I love your city – and I will be there this weekend to watch two great teams battle it out. No trash talking here… we ain’t all like the ones you see on TV. That being said, we are better than we have been in years!
What are they afraid of?
Not YOUR sorry dumb @$$, and not the Jets either.
They RESPECT their opponent, but they are not going to talk to some halfwit wannabe “journalist” so that twit can twist anything they say into bulletin board fodder.
…lando x, is the NY media ALL this stupid, or is this guy just “special”? ;-)
Irony: An atheist Saints fan.
How stupid
What’s the point? PFT is also running a story about this, here
I guess being a huge market/media intensive team means talking about the game is more important than preparing for the game. Still, I don’t get the judgment being passed on our not wanting to engage in pre-game banter.
And, frankly, we’re surprised that the league office didn’t insist on the Saints giving up someone other than Sharper.
HA!
It’s a big game. But it’s a bigger game for the developing Jets than for the Saints.

Not sure if I agree with that. Those “developing” Jets won more games than the Saints last season.

Well… yes and no. A significant part of those wins came because Farve kicked the crap out of some rather pathetic opponents. Late in the season they folded when he did.
Now just like we aren’t last year’s Saints (much less the Ain’ts) they aren’t last years Jets either. But to call them a developing team isn’t completely unfair. Their rookie QB appears to be developing quite nicely, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t developing. Same with their D — it’s looking quite good, but it’s still early in the Rex Ryan era there and only time will tell if they can be a truly elite defense against all comers.
And one key way they could show that would be to win on the road. So far they have not done so against a truly quality opponent. I’m not saying they can’t. I’m more than a touch afraid they will this week. But so far at least they haven’t done it.
I agree with all of that. My point was they’re really at no more of a “developmental” stage than we are. At QB, obviously, but our defense is almost entirely a work in progress. While successful, our running game has been a week-to-week experiment, as well. We’re dealing with OL injuries, still have personnel question marks, etc. I’m not saying we’re not the better team on the whole, but we’re far from an established presence in the realm of NFL superpowers.

I heard
that Chase “Wonderboy” Daniel was cracking wise about Bart Scott’s promiscuous mother at an informal luncheon at Marconi Meadows. The source claimed to be Norman Hand, but inside sources claim that that source was actually me pretending to be Norman Hand to stir things up, and in preparation for Halloween.

Whatever NY media
I call this focus! Come Sunday the Saint’s will let their on field play do all the talking. Let’s see how much talking the Jet’s players do with the N.O. media after they are blown out Sunday.
as much as i love what rex is doing, letting that team off their leash to bark at all the other fenced in dogs, that is not the N.O. M.O. peyton keeps everything on the DL, our team is filled with smack talkers, and we have no need to join into that.
