seriously, i hate wearing the whites at home, especially with gold pants. We need to wear black jerseys and gold pants at home while wearing white jerseys and black pants on the road.

But i prefer black on gold. I would really love to see gold jerseys on black.

Way to get that stop! If this was last year’s D under Gibbs, we’d already be down 21-0.

Not watching the game
So I can only guess as to what’s going on. Someone tell me if I’m guessing right…
1. The defense is playing vanilla. Not too many different fronts, not too many different personnel packages.
2. It’s mostly second-teamers out there right now, against Miami’s first teamers. I look at the tackles and the names I see are Prioleau, Reis, Jenkins, Dunbar, Charleston.
Guys, this isn’t bad. I kinda hope we lose…that would shrink the swelled heads, defuse the “undefeated preseason” jinx (look what happened last year to Detroit), and lull the rest of the NFL back to sleep. I want to fly under the radar to begin the season.
"Tell all the killjoys to pound sand." -- Ralph Malbrough
I was just about to post the same thing
No need to worry here. Most of these guys out there now are getting cut Saturday. I feel better about going into the season with 1 loss.

Well… yeah… but on the other hand, we’ve never gone undefeated in the preseason, and considering some other teams went undefeated in the preseason and met in the super bowl that year I don’t place a whole lot of faith in any “jinx”…
I’d rather win the bowl, but I would like to have us pull off something we’ve never done before too. Hmm, why not be greedy, lets go for both! :)
3rd string O-line...
looks like crap. They have no cohesion against the rush. Joey’s in for a long night. I sense a 3-1 record a comin’.

Billy Miller horrible news
Saints backup TE Billy Miller was carted off the field Thursday
“He looks like a guy that just has been told bad news,” tweeted beat writer Jeff Duncan. It’s bad news for the Saints, thing at tight end, and worse news for the 32-year-old Miller. Jeremy Shockey will get a bump in our projections if Miller’s injury is serious.
He may be gone for a long time if not the season. Major suckage if he’s seriously hurt.

It's alright
we got Buck Ortega, third best name on the team. Soon to be second, after Digger Bujnoch gets his papers on Saturday. Dinkins can stay if it’s that bad.
Look for...
them to pick up a cut TE from another team this weekend, if Billy is seriously injured. I wish they could get Jermichael Finley from Green Bay. Not gonna happen though. Still, we don’t know yet that Billy is gone for an extended period of time. We’ll just have to wait and hopefully find out after the game.

A little, definitely
He didn’t have any blocking most of the time, though. He’s no Drew Brees.

More Miller news
6:38: Horrible news for Saints: Billy Miller, perhaps the only second-teamer left on the field for N.O., just went down with a lower right leg injury. It looks serious. Medical personnel carted him to locker room. He looked like a guy who had been told bad news as he left the field. Concern was evident on the faces of teammates Jeremy Shockey, Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, Pierre Thomas and Jon Stinchcomb.
He may be gone for the season.

Nothing againts Miller but
if that is the only season ending injury we get this pre-season, I’ll take it.
Agreed
We haven’t lost any starters for an extended period of time yet. Billy was pretty close to being a starter, though. He’s been a big part of the team for years. Shockey really needs to stay healthy. I expect they’ll bring in another TE from somewhere for depth.

just had to log in to post this
Joey Harrington is awful. Sorry, tried to give him a chance. Yes, he is playing with the third-stringers, but he is playing against third-stringers as well. Stick with Brunell this year, look for another free-agent castoff or draftee next year as a developmental project, but Joey can’t take a roster spot from a Jonathan Casillas or Rod Harper. I won’t stand for it, Mr. Benson!!!!!! OK, maybe for you, Rita

There's something good
Morstead rolls it down to the 3. He’s really starting to show that those draft picks for him weren’t wasted.

Gotta score some points here!
I can stomach a 10-3 loss in a preseason game that couldn’t be more meaningless, like this one. But, a shutout is hard to swallow under any circumstances.

The Dolphins D....
might as well be playing against air. Yes, Harrington sucks. But, he’s not getting any help from this O-line. I think these guys already know the O-line roster is set and they are getting cut.

Well
We may lose this one tonight with a bunch of guys on the field who are about to get cut, but we outscored our opponents 107-38 through four preseason games. That’s encouraging. Also encouraging is the fact that our D, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd string guys, didn’t let an opponent get more than 14 points in a game. In the past, most opponents have racked up 20 points on us before leaving their hotel room. I still feel insanely optimistic about the upcoming season.
