WhoDat's Coming With me?
OK, I am going to present each of you an opportunity to revel in the glory that will be the end of this season. From this FanPost, you have the chance to join me in and pledge that you are an individual that really, really, really just KNOWS that THIS is the year. I know, I know, it's been said before....but not by me. I'm freakin' 26, the whole time I've seen nothing but SUCK, with the exception of the past couple of years, in which I predicted a playoff appearence in one, and an NFC Championship in the other. Don't judge me.
So why this year??? We've been over the facts, ALL offseason. We know a few major changes could definitely put us in a good position to make it into the playoffs. But that isn't the thing that gets me excited. For the first time in my life, I think that the intangibles are actually in our favor. Could that be the ultimate dooping? Is there a sheep sitting on my face? (wool over the eyes, get it...)
The parity in the NFL has proven itself over the past few years. Any team in the playoffs can beat any other team on any other day. SO, the Intangible things such as leadership, discipline, camaraderie, desire and many more have more to do with the outcome that we often give credit for.
So I have placed a poll below that let's you claim your whole-hearted belief in the Saints. At the end of the year you can look back and feel a little better about yourself, and make it just a little bit sweeter, because you just KNEW that this was it. I mean, I can't imagine feeling any worse than I already will if they don't when the SuperBowl. So c'mon guys, let's shove that cautious optomisim into a very uncomfortable place.....like the back of a Volkswagon. I'm already all-in, I know a lot of you are too. This way you can point at the doubters later and rag them becasue you had total blind faith in a NFL Franchise. I mean what's a Saint without a little blind faith???
You want more poll options...make your own. But 'round these here parts it's all or nothin'!

I know this
…if we don’t go all the way this year, I will be bitterly disappointed. In the past (for instance, the past two years) I’ve been hopeful; but this year we’re coming off one of the best years offensively in the history of the NFL, and we’ve spent a great deal of energy trying to put together a defense that can protect the leads that our offense gives us. Judging by the preseason, it seems to have worked at least well enough to lift our defense into the top half of the league…which should be enough. The whole point of all this is to win a Super Bowl—now, while our offense is in its prime.
So let’s do it. Because we should do it.

boom I think they'll do it
Bandwagon jumpers are already accumulating. The Wichita Eagle picked the Saints to win the South.
Sean Payton and Drew Brees are going to make me a star.
South isn't enough
I want it all. And I want it NOW! [ cue Oompa Loompas ]

Good idea, ASAINT
But from the title of the post, I thought you were inviting folks to come to the Buffalo game with you or something…

Hey, has anyone seen the Saints Madden10 commercial?
I just saw it on ESPN during the Rutgers-Cincinnati game today. Pretty funny.

I'm so onboard
I’ll be sitting in the End Zone at the Eagles home opener vs. the Saints at the Link amongst all of the evil Green Bleeding Nation. I may not survive, but I will go down trying. I predict there will be about 17 Saints fans there and 14 won’t wear any colors.
Seriously, this is the most talented training camp EVER..I mean it might rival any camp any where. We have a Great Team. Now, injuries are always the key issue to any promising team, and we have to avoid that, but I love the composition of this team (even the defense) and I have very high hopes.

Of Course
the only team I know, the only team we ever had, except The Jazz’s 5/6 yrs,…well now the Hornets(not really OUR team) . But I have had so many people that see me@ work or out on the street, in a Saints hat or t-shirt and all say we have a great shot this yr…Never been like that before…Good Karma…

I've been saying all the way
ever since I joined and we got GW! I’ve been saying to just give cautious the finger and go all out. We all feel so confident and excited that this really is our year to win it all that I’ve even seen Dave say that he had let go of his caution at one point. Granted, that was before injuries started to happen but I think alot of him feels that this is our year. It’s probably hard not to when everyone else around you feels that way. I have felt optimistic about 2007 and 2008. I was very optimistic about 2008 before Bush got hurt. Even if you don’t like Bush, you have to remember that Bush played an entire season healthy in 2006 and we went to the NFC Championship Game. I will feel completely and utterly like we will win as long as Bush stays healthy. If he goes down, i reserve the right to take back my optimism pending on the play of the defense. Saints will stay healthy, Saints will win the SB, beating out the Pats with Porter intercepting a pass intended for Moss and taking it to the house. Saints win by 14.
Superbowl bound!!!...I hope? Go Saints! :D
