"Doc" Casillas

has a nice ring to it. Even if Duncan can’t spell his last name.

Glad to see...

that no one is wearing no. 26. That number should remain unassigned for at least a few years, if not longer. We still love you, Deuce!

Don't Remember Ever Seeing

an entire receiving corps wearing #’s in the teens!!

Colston – 12
Harper – 13
Moore – 16
Meachem – 17
Henderson – 19

Anyone remember this happening before in the NFL?

Guess we now know why Arrington was waived and moved to the PS — just kidding!!

Good point

Don’t recall seeing this before.

Given the projected Gaudy #'s the Saints' Receiving Corps

is projected to produce this season, any interest in the CSC group undertaking the task of generating a “nickname” or “brand” for the group??

Given all the obscure, dynamic, and creative references-comments posted on CSC in the last year, this thread should be able to produce quite the eye/ear catcher!!

Can’t help but think that with all the receiver’s wearing #‘s in the teens there must be something clever. Or maybe it is a brand that has nothing to do with “the teens”. Also, Brees, like teens, has the run on ee’s!!

Who knows, maybe no one is interested but it is about time that both Brees and his receivers “get their due” and clever “nicknames” or “brands” have proven to have staying power.

No doubt, as the Saints’ success this season puts the team and specifically the receiving corps in the national limelight, we will all know it started here.

If we have several clever options, possibly Saintsational can put the choices to a vote??

it would be nice if we could come up with something

to complement your earlier suggestion of “The Roaring Twenties” for the Saints running backs, which I really like.

Thanks

only Lynell Hamilton made the team. Are we worried about an afterthought 30?

I like Terrible Teens, only Terrible could be taken negatively. Still thinking.

If we were in Detroit it would be obvious… the Ten Lizzies.

Since we’re not, I’m not sure if that’s a good choice or not.

or in DC

the Oval Teens.

Big stretch.

The Teen Titans

to keep it comics-based.

not bad

The only awkward thing about any of these “Teen” names, is that if it caught on, they’d likely be asked to do commercials for Proactiv during the offseason.

Shades of the Longest Yard. Hoping Chase Daniel won’t launch tight spirals into their crotches. Waiting for stujo4’s “he’s the right height” retort.

our LB corps

is Vicious Vilma and the Mighty Whiteys (featuring Lunch Pale). Lunch Pale must be given special recognition, as he’s the spackle that holds it all together.

Or just the Jonathan Vilma Experience

which applies to distribution of both ethnicity and talent.
