Seattle has the loudest stadium in the NFL???

that's what Ken Whisenhunt alluded to when he was asked about preparing to play in the Superdome on this morning's "Mike & Mike" show (ESPN radio).  the Cardinal's head coach thinks that playing against the Seahawks' "12th Man" every season is enough to get them ready for the insanity that is the SUPERDOME???

Star-divide

THIS IS A CALL TO ARMS!  if you will be at the Dome, you know what you have to do.  if you will be within 5 miles of the Dome, you need to be screaming your face off from pre-game to post-game.  while we're at it, everyone across this nation, listening to the game on the radio, watching the game in a bar or from your couch...EVERYONE needs to make Whisenhunt feel the pain.  our screams will haunt him before he even enters our house.  and for the weeks and months to come, he will hear the echos of the Who Dat Nation ringing in his ears.

this is New Orleans...this is the Superdome...this is Who Dat Nation...and most importantly, the is the PLAYOFFS!!!  no one is louder, especially not the Seattle Seahawks!

Who Dat sayin they gonna beat dem Saints????!?!?!?!?!??!

Wisenhunt thinking playing at Seattle prepares his team for New Orleans

is equivalent to Payton thinking practicing outdoors in Metairie prepares his team for playing outdoors in Chicago. That said, the Cardinals, and Warner in particular, are very good at dealing with loud opponent crowds. Of course, that doesn’t mean the Superdome shouldn’t make it as difficult as humanly possible.

Your kidding, right? The Bengals were horrid at that (at least in the second half of the season). In fact, many of their late-season losses could have either been wins (or at least close games) had they not killed themselves with penalties practically outweighing their offense. Arizona couldn’t have been worse… could they?

Well they probably could have. At least on the penalties part. Nobody could possibly be a worse OC than Bratkowski. That guy probably couldn’t be the water boy for 31 other teams in the league yet somehow he’s the OC for Cincinnati for 8+ years.

Qwest is pretty loud due to the design of the roofs

But my daughter went to the Saints game there in 2007. She told her friends “This is loud? You guys suck.”

Arrowhead used to be very loud until Herm and King Carl wrecked the franchise.

Superdome is super loud when the fans are in to it. Let’s do better than the Dallas game. I want to hear some hoarse who dats.

If you hear him howling around your kitchen door,
Better not let him in.

Seattle does get pretty loud

but look. They have a open roof which lets some of the sound out. We have a Dome where the sound just surrounds the field and makes it impossible to hear yourself talk or think. Whiz might think he knows what the sound is like in the Superdome but he really has no idea. Its gonna make the Cards on the field feel like their head is gonna explode. LOL.

Every team comes into the Dome thinking they can handle the noise. If Brady & Co. came and had trouble with the snap count and communicating then I have no doubt it that if our WHO DATS show up Loud, Proud, and most likely under the influence of many alcoholic beverages…..the Cards will have as much trouble as the Pats did.

Get ready to FEEL DAT BREES!!!

Lucas Stadium

i understand it is in Indiana but a buddy of mine went there to watch the pats play the colts and a couple of weeks before that he came with me to the atlanta monday night game and he said that the Dome was louder. mostly because of the way it is shaped and the fact the the sound echos from every angle perfectly back to the field. im no sound expert but it sounds good enough for me. who dat baby!!!

Come on now. That was Bellicheat grousing after losing a game. He’s a grumpy bastard when he wins, what the heck did you expect after he lost? Smiles and praises for Peyton?

I think the Superdome is louder than Seattle in the playoffs!!!

I read in the Houston paper that Romo said it was the loudest stadium he had ever played in.

But then, Romo sometimes gets confused. So it may not be the best endorsement we can find.

When Folks missed that field goal...

…it was so loud I could not hear myself talking to my wife right next to me. I read where one of the Cowboys players said that they had read lips in the huddle b/c they could not hear the play being spoken.

Tough to imagine that any stadium anywhere could be louder. We need to bring that crescendo and then some to this game.

Being loud is important, but being loud at the right time is even more important

obviously anytime the cards have the ball, get loud.
But if they take a time out or there is a TV timeout, get EVEN LOUDER.

Saints fans are savvy

Remember the graphic someone published after the Pats game that showed the decibel levels at various points in the game? We were loudest on the 4th down stop in the 3d quarter, because the fans were smart enough to recognize the importance of that stop.

BOOM REC'D

Fans underestimate the power they have to change a game… to disrupt opposing offenses and, maybe more importantly, activate the confidence that’s inside our home team.

We (esp. the folks in the Dome) need to stay positive and loud throughout the entire game REGARDLESS OF THE SCORE.

We owe it to our team to give them everything we’ve got, so they’re willing and have the confidence to give us everything they’ve got.

If you think the confidence and support of the crowd doesn’t affect the team’s play, you’ve got another thing coming.

I think it’s almost easier to come from behind when you’re on the road because you can deflate the crowd with with a score or takeaway. When the crowd is out of it… sulking like the Aint’s… the team stops believing.

But, the ONLY WAY TO WIN is to BELIEVE you can.

We need to keep their spirits high throughout the game.

If we’re up, we need to cheer loud to keep that lead and keep the players motivated to FINISH.

If we’re down, we need to cheer even louder to show them that WE BELIEVE… even if they don’t at that moment, WE BELIEVE.

If you’re in the Dome this weekend and people around you are down and quite and looking sad, STAND UP and start screaming your head off… please! Other people will join in.

The Saints need YOU!

According to NFL.com website

it says the Vikings have the loudest stadium:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d815b1c9e&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true

I have been on the sidelines of a Viking game as an opposing coach and I think Mall of America Field is the loudest place to play in the league

this is from Pat Kirwan
Lets go out there & break the Decibel Level Record!

NOISE METER

what i would like to see is for ole’ Benson to get someone to install a realtime decibel meter and show it on the big screen. that would be awesome, when we are on defense of course. i think that would even get the people who dont scream and yell a reason to.

I think I remember from yeeeeaaars ago

a basketball game that was boycotted by the fans, and played before an extremely sparse crowd. I wanna say the score was ridiculously low, for a college game, like in the 30’s. I can remember at the time, the commentators talking about how crowd noise, or lack thereof, REALLY has a tremendous baring on the teams. I’m sure our noise and enthusiasm in the Dome has a severe detrimental effect on opposing teams. If I remember right, they set a record in the Pats game?? Or 1 of the games this season..some crazy number like 120+ decibels.

The idea of a visible, decibel meter is great. I think if that idea would have gotten to the Saints a lil earlier, it might have to come to be.
