Cardinals @ Saints: Game Predictions

Feels like forever since we've had one of our prediction contests. In fact, you probably forgot that saintfever09 was our week 17 winner by just the slimmest of margins. Congrats to him/her.

And if you felt like two weeks was a long time between prediction contests, think about how long the off-season - which could sadly be a day away - will feel. Because there is that unfortunate possibility that this could be the last prediction contest of the season, I urge you to make them count.

Remember the format? Score prediction in the subject heading of your comment followed by three random predictions in the message area.

And away...we go.

BTW, I think you’re #2 and even #3 are possible. Beany has been playing pretty darn well lately.

Opposing teams fans

have always been welcome to play as far as I can remember. Granted I’ve only been on here this season! Like the Saints, there’s really no reason for anybody to really hate the Cardinals. I actually like the Cardinals some. Y’all weren’t very good back in the day, unlike the Saints who have been awesome through out our whole existence (can you smell the sarcasm), yet a lot of the time y’all found a way to be pesky little thorns for the Cowboys. With the game on the line, fourth and goal on the 6 with less than a minute to play, Saints trailing by 4, Duece is inserted in at fullback. The Cards D zeroes in on him as the dome becomes deafening. Play-action fake to Duece, Brees lobs it to Shockey in the back of the end-zone for the win.

SAINTS 37 CARDINALS 20 FINAL

by KENTROO'S on Jan 15, 2010 2:38 PM CST reply actions

Last time I deliberately picked to lose this contest we kicked the opponents butt so bad they never recovered for the rest of the season. So once again I desperately hope to be so far wrong that I win the “biggest dunce in the world” contest in a US-wide unanimous vote… but here goes…

Saints 13 Cards 45
1) We lose the turnover battle by 2+
2) Cards top WR outgains all ours combined. Ditto for RB.
3) Warner scores 3+ TDs (any) and Drew commits more turnovers than Warner scores TDs (any).

Now take that above, flip every team or person to the opposite team, and you’ll see what I hope to have happen instead.

by FriarBob on Jan 15, 2010 3:12 PM CST reply actions

Well I’m not actually superstitious… but it seems to have worked out OK this time! :)

But… since I’m from the Cardinals page…. Cardinals win 43-38
