Shockey's Status
I was just wondering what you guys and gals think about the status on Shockey. I know he missed practiced again today, and I am pretty concerned. Our offense is definitely a shell of itself without him, especially considering Bushrod will of course need help against Jared Allen. Who doesn't need help against Allen? He's an all-pro for a reason. Of course, the Saints have protected better against 43 teams as opposed to 34s and maybe that's why Bushrod had so many issues with DeMarcus Ware. Someone please help set my mind at ease!! I guess it is the long-suffering Saints fan in me panicing a bit!

That would suck. For him as well as the team.
I still wouldn’t be very worried about the outcome of the game, but it still would suck. I might even have to lower my score a little.

On the bright side (i feel for the guy anyway) Percy Harvin was sent home
from practice today (according to NFL Live on ESPN, and might not make the charter flight to NOLA tomorrow.

Sean now has a successful history of sacrificing practice time to rest minor injuries.
I think Shockey will start and we’ll see where it leads. If his toe, or anything else, falls off – duct tape!

I wasn’t sure if he had the ring or not although I just assumed (hoped) he did.

He said it himself
watching from the sidelines as the Giants won the Superbowl without him, crushed him. No way is he letting anything keep him from getting to the Big Game

Yeah, he only seems to need one foot anyway
It would be something to see, him hopping into the end zone on one foot.
