Probably not the time to post this with everyone getting pumped up for later but WTH

you may well choose to ignore me! I am a member of NFLUK an official NFL site

specifically for UK fans(as it says on the tin!) I originally joined as this was the only

way you could apply for tickets for the regular season game in London.

The official active membership is approx 220,000 of which 2,500 are Saints fans.

The fan base in the UK has grown for many reasons in the last few years and I will

give a few reasons.

1) The recent sucess of the team(I can`t believe I just wrote that!)

2)The game v the chargers in London,

3)Katrina

4) The high powered offense-we love to see the ball flying around and loads

of TD`s  The average brit doesn`t fully appreciate the subtle nuances of a tight

defensive battle but fully understands a 6 pointer!

The above points are not in any particular ranking order just how they came to mind.

At the London games (I went to the giants/phins and,of course the Saint/Chargers)

Many of the fans wear their favourite team colours-I got heckled by a load of yankee giant

fans in the 1st game:( - I was amazed to see so many Saints shirts loads of #26 a  few

Brees & Bush but ,impressively, a couple of old school Swilling and Mills not to mention

Manning. I did hear a Bengals fan asking his mate if Peyton ever played for the Saints!

My knowledge of early 70`s cinncinatti football is pretty sketchy so I let that one go!

Sorry to waffle on , diverting attention from what really matters but it`s my way of staying

sane(ish).
