Admittedly, Brees was a touch better about avoiding hits in the first place, but it wasn’t like they weren’t trying to hit him. And they did get him a few times. No fines ==> Roger Sucks!

That's the biggest bs I have ever seen
1) Favre was directly in his path- to avoid him would be unnatural and bad basic football. How does Mc Cray, in a split second decision, know if Favre is going to block him. Should Mc Cray wait and see if he is going to get “blown up himself?” Check the Percy Harvin fumble play where Harvin reverses filed and Favre starts looking to make a block. Well, is he a blocker or isn’t he? Should he where a vest on those running plays where he is an eligible blocker??
2) Look at the high- lo play where Mc Cray got fined for a low hit 1) The OLineman pushed him downward as Mc Cray established he had beat him and 2) Look VERY CLOSELY – Mc Cray’s helmet strikes Favre just above the knee in the lower quadriceps. That’s the point of contact and that’s what should count. His arms wrap up around the ankles- that’s good basic tackling 101, but th play should be judged on Point Of Contact- helmet to ABOVE the knee.
It’s my understanding that if the OLIneman poushed you down towards the lower body, it is not penalty.

I think the league is warning the Saints
in advance about getting rough with Manning. I wonder if the fine would have been issued if Greg Williams hadn’t admitted they were going to go after Manning like they went after Favre.
