A Word About Dave Thomas- PTs 4th and 1 play

I know we have given him some credit during this season, but I need to bring his name up again.  In that overtime, he sold that pass intereference call which was hugely important.  But I just watched the tape and just before that, on the 4th and 1 play where PT leaps for a first down (basically the Saints most important play from scrimmage this season- maybe in its history) he lays an unbelieveable block on the Minn. LB that allows the play to happen.  If he doesn't make this great block, I think there is a strong chance PT gets stopped.  Take a look at the footage if you have it.  Here's the link if you don't - it's near the end before the FG.  These are the things that win you championships that are often unnoticed.  I know there are better TEs in the league and better FBs in the league, but he may be the best player who can and will do both.  Without him our path would be much more difficult. He can line up at either position and shift anywhere- even to WR.  He has been a huge blessing to our team.
