PrintOkay guys, as promised, here is the first of our two open threads for NFC playoffs games this weekend.
The Cowboys and Eagles are playing each other for the third time this season. This one is important because if the Eagles win, than the Saints will automatically play them and don't even need to worry about the outcome of the Cardinals/Packers game.
I'll be around and will see what kind of traffic we get; I'm expecting quite a lot. If it meets my expectations I will open up a second half thread as well to help overflow.

Probably not the appropriate thread, but...
I just want to say that the Associated Press has no balls. First Tom Brady as comeback player of the year (like he wasn’t going to come back and be successful) and now Peyton Manning for MVP. At the very least I had hoped for Co-MVPs, but given some of the DOPES on the AP, I guess I’m not surprised…

does it seem that all a receiver has to do lately is throw himself at a DB and make contact while the ball's in the air to get a defensive PI?

No. Not a trend. They told all the teams how they were going to call it this year. I think it’s pretty fair. INcidental contact, no penalty. Going for the ball, no penalty. Trying to keep the other guy from making the play = penalty. I didn’t see the play though.

Oh, Troy called it not interference in a Saints game this year and I was screaming at the TV that it was. Saw it on NFL replay a few days later and saw it Troy’s way, no question. Weird how that works.
