Fleur-de-Links - Oct 19th: Sharper and Ingram Set to Hit the Practice Field Tomorrow
After sitting on the sideline through the first six games, Darren Sharper and Clint Ingram have now been deemed healthy enough to start practicing with the team and possibly suiting up on game day. With the way Malcolm Jenkins has been improving, it'll be interesting to see if Sharper will immediately get his starting job back. All eyes will be on D Sharp tomorrow to see how well he can play after being on the PUP list all this time.
In my last post on Friday, I said if ever there was a time for Chris Ivory to have a breakout game it was against the Bucs. Boy did he come through! I mostly said that because he was basically my only option this week at RB for one of my fantasy teams and he helped me win by a mere two points. Thanks, Tusk!

Satch, I believe you are correct and Rotoworld and I were wrong
It’s looking like Sharper will be on the active roster along with Jenkins, and Jenkins will get the start at FS. Sharper will come in on 3rd downs or something.
I guess I didn’t think MJ could develop into a better FS than Sharper by this point in his career and it’s looking like I was wrong. Good for the Saints!
The List will be updated appropriately.
rotoworld.com:
Darren Sharper-DB- Saints Oct. 19 – 11:54 am et The New Orleans Times-Picayune’s Jeff Duncan suggests that FS Darren Sharper (knee, PUP) might not be a given to get his starting job back once he’s activated from the PUP list. Duncan writes that Malcolm Jenkins has “blossomed into a bona fide starting safety” and could be an All-Pro in the “near future.” Jenkins is improving each week, and although Sharper is coming off a phenomenal season, the youngster is the future at the position. It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds.

If this gets me on the Accountability Index as “correct,” I shall rejoice. :)

BOOM rec'd it
I think it is apparent no matter who says it. Not likely that Sharper puts Jenkins on the bench at this point.

I think Jenkins keeps his starting spot at FS
and that Sharper appears frequently in exotic coverage packages. (nickel, dime, quarter sets that GW dreams up)
Also, I just hope that Sharper plays it smart and doesn’t try too hard and force plays once he’s back on the field, trying to make up for lost time. It might end up backfiring on him and us…
It's gonna be a great year.
just my thoughts
I think MJ should play running downs, and should be in whenever he blitzes. D# will come in on passing downs
Maybe we’ll see packages with MJ and D# in the safety spots, and Roman Harper in as linebacker? MJ can cover the TE and D# can be the ballhawking safety that he is? We might even see all 3 in the game at one point

I don’t understand how people say they had no pain when getting 4 or 5 teeth pulled at once? Y’all full of it! Lol!
Did anybody else find this as funny as I did? I think it depends on the dentist, and the procedure being done. I’ve had some dental work I didn’t feel at all. And other times I needed extra novocaine just to get through the work, and still was in pain for weeks afterward.
Can you tell me what it is like to go to the dentist and not feel pain? Seriously, I am loaded up on pain meds during, after and the week after dentist work, Does not matter the dentist, I have high tolerance to novocaine and as such get to feel everything. My root canal was fun.

I had no pain at all when the Navy dentist pulled all 4 of my wisdom teeth at once but I recently had a filing done and needed two shots of novacaine. I think it depends on the dentist.

I've been really happy at how well Jenkins has played
and I’ve been one of his biggest fans. And, I don’t think Sharper should start over him right now. Maybe in the future or maybe not. But, let’s face it – you can’t sell Sharper short. He’s probably a future Hall of Famer, he carried our defense at times last year and I still think he’s the most likely Safety on our team to get an Int by far. He hits hard he knows the game, he’s fearless, durable and having him healthy is a real plus, even if he doesn’t stat and/or play every down.
