We seem to have lost our offensive explosiveness
Not enough mid-range passes, especially since the deep passes aren’t connecting. Following the game on NFL, which shows YAC, I am shocked at the amount of plays on which the pass goes for negative yardage, only to have us barely pull out a three yard gain. Payton needs to open up the playbook a little. Also, Ivory was running very well with the exception of that fumble, he should have been given the ball more. But a win is a win.

118 yards rushing against a 3rd string defense that was not great against the rush anyway. I ain’t scared.

I’m not especially scared of the Panthers, but beating a team in steep decline 16-14 has me slightly anxious, I must admit.

our secondary and our offensive backfield need to get healthy
and Shockey and Henderson had the drops today, although Drew was slinging them a little low at times today
It's gonna be a great year.
Won't ague the drops but Henderson and Shockey both kept us in it. Along with a running game that Cats had to respect or pay.
What I did like was the play of both Betts and Ivory. Made the D respect the run. Both run through defenses and make them pay for every tackle. Ivory lost one but no points off it. More worrisome is watching him when changing direction and digging for more. Ball is wayyyyyy exposed. Reminds me of Peterson in that regard. Hang tough Saints fans. LOL
