New Orleans Saints @ Arizona Cardinals: Game Predictions
It's Friday afternoon so you know what that means! Let's get some prediction action going on up in here.
But first...we must all praise the great and wise predictor from the Saints previous game against the Panthers, VAsaintsfan. With 22 total votes and only by the slimmest of margins was he able to achieve victory. Here are the three predictions that got him there:
1. Saints have their best day (most yards) rushing the ball so far this year.
2. The Saints get at least 2 sacks on Carolina's QB.
3. The Saints have at least a +2 turnover margin.
Okay. That's enough praise for one day. Now it's time to find out who will earn next week's brief moment of congratulatory praise.
Ladies and gentleman, start your predictions!

Based on this tweet I just found...
All Eastbank-bound lanes of Crescent City Connection now open after earlier oil spill
I am guessing he actually IS referring to the bridge.

What time is the post-game podcast? I probably won’t have Internet access.
I wonder if I can bring my camera in… would suck to get up to the door and get turned away b/c of the camera. Hmmmm….
Want to go to the Saints vs. Cowboys game? I've got an extra ticket.
If I can get Ralph to tell me the time ahead of time, I'll email it to you along with the phone number of the call-in show
and if it’s convenient and doesn’t impair your post-game celebration…it’d be great for you to call in. However, the most important thing is for you to have an AWESOME game experience, so don’t fuss over this too much…
It's gonna be a great year.

"3. Brees has over 100.0 passer rating for the third week in a row."
oops. Drew had a 90.2 rating against Carolina. Hopefully Dave won’t automatically disqualify that.
aw crap… i was reading NFL.com’s stats upside down.*
If I can change it, make it:
3. Brees has over 100.0 passer rating for the fourth time this year.
-
’* They put the most recent YEAR at the top:
2010
2009
2008
etc.
But, they put the most recent WEEK at the bottom:
week 2
week 3
week 4
NFL.com, pick one and stick with it.
AND, they hid week 1’s stats. Come on NFL.com. Really!? [shakes head at poor information architecture]

Eventually, I guess. Not this week.
1. Drew throws for three touchdowns.
2. Ladell Betts scores his first rushing touchdown as a Saint.
3. Saints have a special teams score.
Unfortunately, the defense doesn’t do all that great a job, and the score is closer than it should be, 38-27. (Man, I hate when someone posts part of my score just ahead of me!)
It was worth the wait.

Saints 32, Cards 6
Cards Defense is currently ranked 29th (22nd pass, 30th run). Saints also rolled on them in the playoffs last year. I don’t think this is a sure thing, but I think it helps the Saints look more like 2009 for one game, at least.

2 Saints rush for 162+ team yards
3 Tim Hightower has 90+ combined yards
Bonus: There will be no “we coulda drafted Beanie Wells!” wailing in the game day comments on CSC. The rookie QB will impress in a losing effort. The name “Kurt Warner” will be uttered 14 times on the TV broadcast, “Karlos Dansby” only once. Bill Bidwell will not be shown wearing a bow tie and his dumbass kid will not be shown doing this:

But he could very well be shown doing something like this:
