I know that everyone will say what a great game Lance Moore had or how Drew was looking like the Drew of old. Make no mistake though, the defense won this game. Goal line stance, sacks, turnovers and constant pressure from the D made this game a win. The defensive line is and has been playing their collective butts off all season and they have injuries of their own (Juniour Gallette and Anthony Hargrove). The secondary played stellar. When you consider the Saints were playing with bascially one corner (Robinson barely made through team introductions before being injured) that made this defensive effort even more impressive. Jenkins should why he was a 1st rounder and you gotta love the effort that Torrence gave. Just think what this defense would look like if Vilma had 2 starting quality backers to play with him.
I was impressed with Julius Jones, too! He's no Reggie, but who the hell is? He did give the Steelers something to think about coming out of the backfield on a couple of check down passes. This is what make Drew most effective. When you have to worry about the receivers out of the backfield, this team has a whole different look about them. Gotta give props also to Garrett Hartley. I know he was just doing his job, but at least he's doing his job!
