FanPost

Remember that 2010 standings predictions some made?

Well if you do then you either made one or were impressed/entertained by some picks some people made. I went back and wanted to see what we did and I figured since it is the mid-point we have a better picture of who is gonna be in and who are long shots so we can laugh at how stupid we were hold ourselves accountable to our predictions. Below is the link to said fanpost, and some famous people's predictions of what they thought would happen last July. Also I pasted the current standings for your ease.

The link is here

NFC (in order of finish): Packers, Saints, Cowboys, 49ers. Vikings and Falcons as wild cards. Saints over Packers in conference championship.

Saints finish 12-4

AFC playoff seeding: 1. Colts 2. Chargers 3. Ravens 4. Dolphins 5. Jets 6. Texans

Chargers over Ravens in AFCCG
Saints over Packers in NFCCG

by: David "Satch" Kelly

AFC
1) Ravens
2) Colts
3) Chargers
4) Jets
5) Patriots
6) Steelers

Notes: So close: Texans, Dolphins, Broncos, Bengals. Patriots get wildcard. I know they’re in decline, but don’t count them out just yet. Jets I have at a lower seed bc Sanchez will be that team’s Achilles Heel, just watch.

NFC
1) Saints
2) Cowboys
3) Packers
4) 49ers
5) Falcons
6) Vikings

So close: Panthers, Redskins, Seahawks, Eagles, Bears. The Saints have a tougher sked, IMO, but they have experience now to handle adversity. Plus, Brees in his prime. We just need the running game to work again this year and our D to bring havoc again.

AFC Championship
Ravens over Chargers

NFC Championship
Saints over Packers

Super Bowl XLV
Saints over Ravens

Ravens are gonna be the toughest team this year. Everyones firing on all cylinders on that team. BUT they are a beatable team and Flacco is not on par with Brees. PT gets SB MVP after a 2 TD 100+yard performance.

Super Bowl XLV
Saints beat Baltimore 24-20, on a 4th-Q strip of Flacco at the Ravens own 10-yard line (by a blitzing Roman Harper) that bounces into the end zone before Big Sed falls on it. The subsequent drive by the Ravens ends on a stuffed 4th and 1 rushing play near midfield. Then Drew takes a knee 3 times and we win again.
