It's nice in the notes how they mention stats/results of the last game we played against Dallas at Dallas

but that was 4 years ago at a completely different Dallas stadium.

What’s more relevant is that they should note we played them last year at our house and lost…

It's gonna be a great year.

ps

I notice they did mention 2009 in the grid, but not in the notes section paragraph…

ok, I’ll simmer down now

It's gonna be a great year.

Does anybody really think Jon Kitna can win 3 games in a row?

And all of those Thanksgiving day stats for the Cowboys don’t mean much when you consider that traditionally the NFL schedules horrible teams for the Cowboys to thump on Thanksgiving. And traditionally the Cowboys field a competitive football team, so a lot is changing this year.

Freakin Buck and Aikman?

Why the Hell do they always get the cowboy games?

Um....because they're the number 1 team on Fox....and the game is on Fox. And they're better than about anyone else out there outside of Monday/Sunday night teams.

Yes...seriously.

I can understand hating Buck as he tends to talk down his nose while calling games. But he’s also incredibly knowledgeable about the game. Aikman is hands down one of the top 2-3 color commentators currently working. People just hate him because he was a Cowboy.

It makes him biased.

If he wasn’t biased I would be fine with him.

Fakeman is smart (in general), true, and he’s a good commentator as well. But he’s also a biased moron who can’t wrap his brain around the concept that there are other good teams out there outside the NFC East.

And THAT is why we are tired of him. If he would give other teams their due, we’d like him a whole lot more. Give the Saints, the Bucs, the Pack, the Bears, even the Dirty Birds — all of which are pretty decent (or better) teams this year — their proper due instead of salivating over Dallas, Jersey A, and Philly all the time.

by FriarBob on Nov 24, 2010 11:36 AM CST up reply actions

I've never seen him biased.

In fact most of the time he’s very, very, very overly critical about NFC East teams, the Cowboys in particular.

Going to have to disagree with you.

I can remember the Texans and Cowboys game earlier this year, the Cowboys had sealed the game up and Aikman and Buck could not stop being so giddy. They both kept saying how they were gonna go on a tear and win the NFC East. It was disgusting how much they were showing their allegiance.

by Jon Banks on Nov 24, 2010 11:47 AM CST up reply actions

At the time that was what they were expected to do.

Philly was mired in what QB to play when. Everyone thought the Giants were still too busy trying to be a finesse team, and nobody has really given the Skins any credit this year except for Clayton who probably still thinks they can squeak out the NFC East crown.

I think people just try to find perceived slights, even when they don’t exist, simply because they don’t like them personally.

I'm fine with Aikman.

I have no personal qualms with him. Just his bias is all.

Thanks for asking,

Because the professor left for Thanksgiving early, I won’t know my grade until after next week. But I feel really confident in my work which I hadn’t on the other two tests. So I feel like I made a high A. And I think that is amazing in Tax Accounting. Also FYI, surgery went great, oral surgeon said I was one of his easiest cases and the teeth practically came out on their own.

FYI and IMO

God i hate abbreviations!

Anything over a C in tax accounting is impressive as it is without a doubt the most painfully boring material ever to study for. Going through my professional programs i hated tax most of all.

It truly is. I fall asleep studying for that class.

But I pulled a few all nighters for this past test because I need a good grade in the class.

Best of luck

I highly recommend a nice cathartic note burning session when you are done. When i passed my final exam i spent about 5 hours with friends, a large variety of drinks and several bags of course notes in the backyard until each and every page had gone into the fire pit.

Tax accounting?

A phrase springs to mind: “Better you than me.”

Congratulations and all, but…seriously, I hope you wind up running off to Tahiti or something.

It was worth the wait.

Would we prefer Gumbel and Dier-dork?

I have to mute it after a play when he starts to speak when I’m watching a game they are calling.

Anything wrong with the Fox team we usually have, Kenny, Moose, & Goose? Well, Goose, but…
