Drive of the Week
I love the touchdown playaction. Look at how all the defenders bite. I didn't get to see the game but Ivory is a freakin beast. He's quick and powerful. Below this is a copy and paste I did to fulfill the requirement for this post. Peep the video.
For those of you who have anointed the Falcons, Eagles or Giants as the team to beat in the NFC, you might want to consult with the New Orleans Saints before giving away the crown.
The defending Super Bowl champions have quietly found their stride behind a rejuvenated offense, and opponents should be concerned.
The Saints have reeled off six consecutive wins, and their explosive offense has been the catalyst. New Orleans has scored at least 30 points in five of those contests en route to becoming one of four teams with at least 10 wins at this point.

I read that article by Mr. Bucky
And finally somebody is noticing and I agree with him. Our saints are fine tuning their skills and there is just no way any of our next three opponents can stop this offense. I read on another post that the short to intermediate passing game gives the Ravens fits and that is our bread and butter. Should not be even close. It was also stated that the play action was another weakness so Brees and Pierre should have a field day. MJD is the one I worry about and I’m sure he will get his yards but as long as our D can keep him out of the endzone and keep him contained, we should be fine. Looking forward to a great win.

MJD is on the Jaguars. Ray Rice is the Ravens runner(isn’t alliteration fun?)

LOL @ MJD comment, yall crazy!
yeah someone said it earlier but they don’t bite as hard oh PA’s as they do when #25 is in there. But I wonder how hard they bite with Ivory back there. I mean, you gotta respect that dude.
2010 is cuzzin's breakout year...run with that chip bruh!
Ivory’s listed as questionable this week. Might see more of Jones.

Re: #25 ... CUT THAT CHUMP.
I’m hoping to see more of Pierre…i’m contemplating starting him this week in FF.

I'd wait till you here the injury report Friday
If Ivory is questionable, go for it, because God knows Bush aint gettin the rock!

I have him in one league. Not starting him though, as I have three better options … Turner, Charles and Bradshaw. If we weren’t facing such a stout front seven, or if this particular FF league gave credit of KR yardage/touchdowns, I might consider it.

Re: #25 ... CUT THAT CHUMP.
I got hosed on RBs. I have Pierre, Stewart (who i’m starting), LT, and Jahvid Best. Have room for one more RB/Flex. My wideouts don’t exactly have good matchups to put in their place….see Santonio Holmes vs Pitt.

Eek. Did you lose a RB or two along the way, or take an unorthodox approach to the draft going in?

Re: #25 ... CUT THAT CHUMP.
Our draft was full of whackos. I took an unorthodox approach. I was picking 11th this year so the top 7 RBs went off in a blink. Followed by Brees, Manning and Rivers…in that order. So i chose Brady as i wanted a top tier QB. I then decided to pick the number one WR on the board with Johnson with my next pick.
My next pics were all RBs that underperformed or got hurt. Pierre, Grant, Best and Stewart.

Guess you’re no worse off than the mid-round guy that took Andre Johnson and Ryan Mathews 1-2.

Re: #25 ... CUT THAT CHUMP.
in any draft with more than 8 players
You’re going to be hurting in the RB corner. there’s only 5 solid RB’s that consistently get you 15 pts…from there on you only got 2nd and 3rd tier RB’s

Unless you lucked into Arian Foster or Darren McFadden this year….of which i did not.

That’s why I always draft RB heavy in the early rounds. Grab a stud if possible, but more importantly load up on quantity + potential. Someone’s bound to break out. I didn’t get either one of those guys this year either, but Ahmad Bradshaw and Jamaal Charles have both been extremely solid for me. They’ve more than made up for the Pierre Thomas and DeAngelo Williams picks I urinated away. “Who knew?” = my point exactly. You’re going to draft an arsenal of 4 or 5 no matter what. Make that your top priority and more often than not, you’re going to be good for at least a playoff berth. My top WRs are Greg Jennings — who’s Top 3 in FF incidentally, I remember someone in this group going on and on about how Colston was FAR superior to him fantasy wise — and a bunch of other guys I either scraped together in the mid-rounds or collected on the waiver wire over the course of the season. QBs Cutler, Fitzpatrick, Orton, Kitna … same story, really. RBs … you just can’t take that same approach with them. Sure, you may luck out and DRAFT a Foster or a McFadden every now and then, but try to stay competitive and reel in a Mike Tolbert, Brandon Jackson, Ryan Torain, etc., while doing so. Not gonna happen. Not unless you have a bunch of brain dead bottom feeders in your league, or you’re running 8 teams shallow in which case roster depth in general becomes a week-to-week crap shoot.

Re: #25 ... CUT THAT CHUMP.
good strategy...
You’re correct, load up on the RB’s shoot, get a solid QB and playoffs should be easy. I got talked into a keeper league in one and the other was a 6 man league in which i was undefeated the first few games but now I’m out of the playoffs, due to not having enough RB’s to take of.
2010 is cuzzin's breakout year...run with that chip bruh!
I drafted 4 RBs in the first 6 rounds and 6 RBs overall.
5 of them got hurt for a significant portion of the year. Sometimes…you just have really bad luck.

Yeah, no strategy is exempt from the 4077 effect.

Re: #25 ... CUT THAT CHUMP.
That being said, suppose you’re the top team in a 10 or 12 team league with Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster, Darren McFadden and Peyton Hillis as your four RBs and ALL FOUR go down on the same week. Assuming a worst-to-first waiver system, what are the odds of you landing ANY of their backups? I realize that illustrates the importance of handcuffing more than anything, but also the importance of the position itself. If your two QBs are Rivers and Brady and both went down on the same week, I would think it far more likely that you’d be able to land either Volek or Hoyer in free agency. In fact, you’d probably have a decent shot at both, as most people shy away from unproven QBs. That simply isn’t the case with RBs. The success of Nick Goings and a handful of other flash-in-the-pans over the years have blown that out of the water. If you had more Kurt Warner situations, backup QB handcuffs would be en vogue. WRs fall somewhere in between, as desperate owners will go out on limbs for the Derek Hagens and Blair Whites of the world, yet even those guys aren’t going to have the entire league clamoring over them, at the first mention of an injury to the player that typically starts ahead them.

Re: #25 ... CUT THAT CHUMP.
are there any positions you marginalize?
I have a friend who gets one great QB and the picks up whoever during that QB’s bye week. He only takes one defense and one kicker..
2010 is cuzzin's breakout year...run with that chip bruh!
it often depends on the size of your bench… in my league with a really small bench, I just pickup a QB a week or two before my starter’s bye…
But, even in a league where I have a really large bench, I only have one DEF and one K.
"You can't be king of the world, if you're a slave to the grind."
and one TE (in both sm and lg bench leagues)
"You can't be king of the world, if you're a slave to the grind."
Same here, though I usually carry a 2nd QB throughout. Sometimes as many as 3, depending on how dependable my primarily one is. If I fail to land an elite QB — which is often, considering my early round penchant for RBs — I tend to grab one or two more and play the matchups from week-to-week.

I saw this, too
thanks for bringing it here, Tay.
Seeing the breakdowns show you just how good our offense can be when it all clicks…as if every play in the history of Sean and Drew lead to tendencies and reactions by the D, and when it clicks – there’s no stopping us (until Drew makes a bad throw, or the OL takes a nap, or the WRs drop a ball)
It's gonna be a great year.

No probs my man,
Yeah, you know, I’m not a big fan of the midwestern american beers much but seeing that I’m from the Milwaukee region, MGD is one I can get down with. That’s a smooth beer.

I believe it. I pretty much love drinking foreign beer
When I do drink beer, which is very rare now that I’m in marathon training but in my off-season, I love trying beers brewed in foreign soil. Any Canadian beers that you know are sold here in the States that I should try?
