Saints 24 @ Ravens 30: Prediction Results and Voting

Everyone's predictions from last week have finally been tallied, analyzed and formatted accordingly. They can be found in their entirety following the jump.

A lot of people predicted Roman Harper would have a sack. That didn't happen. Reggie Bush staying out of the endzone also really screwed a lot of members.

Today we've only got two members to choose from on the ballot. One has all three correct, the other might have all three correct but I can't verify one of their predictions, though I have a strong hunch it's wrong. So I will let the people (hey, that's you!) decide.

Look over the results then go ahead and cast your vote for the best predictor. The poll will be open for 48 hours, closing Friday afternoon at 12pm.

mrwhodat predicted that our defense would suck and we would still win by two scores? Wow. He must have had ZERO respect for the Ravens defense. Now as people, I might agree, but as players he was obviously wrong.

by FriarBob on Dec 22, 2010 12:12 PM CST reply actions

Not really. The first two probably happen (or come close to happening) every game and the Saints win handily fairly regularly despite that. I wouldn’t say one blown pass of 30+ yards and a bunch of missed tackles by one lackluster player in particular is indicative of an entire defense sucking. In fact, those two things are pretty commonplace in the NFL, even among winning teams. All you really have to do is follow the team regularly to be able to put a finger on their weaknesses. Also, it’s mdwhodat, not mr. I’m assuming he/she lives in Maryland and follows the Saints. In any case, they seem to have a good grasp on the tendencies of both teams’ players, judging from the three predictions.

That being said, I went with jray2000. Three correct without a doubt, a three point win is closer to a loss AND … he plays my Pick ’Em contest regularly. Hey, who said voting had to be unbiased?

    thanks cold pizza

i replied to friar before i saw your posts..the things i put on there were things that go on a lot…we do give up chunks of yds but usually hold in red zone. listening to baltimore radio all week i knew they would be trying to get rice more involved.. well be alright though..ivory not being active hurt…

ps..as many tackles as we missed on sunday i would bet my right arem that shanle had at least 5..

    yer post

our def doesnt have to suck to give up 125 all purpose to an all pro calibur back and 1 30 yd pass play.we give up chunks of yds..our strength is red zone def..i have a lot of respect for them but i also thought that we would at least have a lil success at running the ball to help out and if we did we prob could of won by 10

    I find it funny.....

that one of Jon Banks predictions was that the saints would have over 75 yds rushing….when JB spent a lot of time arguing with Coldpizza in the “Defensive Player Grades” section that our lack of rushing attempts was not a bad game plan.

Not hatin JB…just poking a lil fun.

CP typed all the same reasons I had in my head for my selection…except for the fun fact about playing in the pick-em contest – that never crossed my mind.
