NFL Sunday Football: Open Thread

Cozy up in your favorite seat, grab your beverage of choice, make sure your fantasy rosters are set (if you're in the playoffs) and join us here in Da Chronic's open thread for all of today's NFL action.

The Saints don't play until tomorrow night, obviously, so take a break from watching "A Christmas Story" for the fourteenth time, turn on the NFL game in your area and join us here for some fun in-game chatter.

On FOX, I will be watching the San Francisco @ St. Louis, a huge NFC West matchup that could determine who will win the division and who the Saints will play in the first round of the playoffs. Unfortunately, the all-important Seattle @ Tampa Bay game will not be shown here in New Orleans. That game is critically important because if the Bucs lose, the Saints are automatically in the playoffs, regardless of what happens on the field tomorrow. So someone will have to be in this thread keeping us all updated!

Make the jump for a full list of today's games. To find out which game will be showing in your neck of the woods, click here and get the full broadcasting maps for all your NFL Week 16 action.

my local game is Jags-Redskins on Fox, followed by NYG-GBPackers

not sure why it’s not 10-4 collision of Jets-Bears early

CBS is open in the early game as they’ll show Colts-Raiders late. We’re close to Indy, Cincy, and Nashville, but it seems the Colts rule the roost as far as local favorite/max exposure

rotoworld.com:

Adrian Peterson-RB – Vikings Dec. 24 – 11:26 am et Adrian Peterson doesn’t have a single fumble this season on 280 offensive touches. Amazing. Peterson led the league with 20 fumbles the past three seasons including 16 from 2008-2009 and two more in the NFC Championship contest at New Orleans last January. Peterson worked with a sand-filled, 14-pound football last offseason to improve his ball control.

Glad I tuned in..I was confused- wanted to root for StL, but

SF is bad, no Gore and maybe I should root for them. But reading above, it would be best if Saints played indoors if they are a Wildcard (they won’t be!) . Either StL or SF would be ok- but I also think in the big picture it’s better they travel to Stl than west coast for playoff game.

wouldn’t it be cool if they were 5th seed and went to NFC Championship game vs Giants or Packers or TB (whoever was 6th seed) and the game was in NOLA? Could happen. Bears, Eagles, Rams (NFC West ) are far from unbeatable!
