If he plays 4 more years, and averages a paltry (by his current standard) 3500 passing yards and 22TDs…he can retire on the spot in the top 5 in history for passing yards and TDs. From a statistical standpoint, assuming he stays healthy he’s a shoo in…the ring helps his credibility outside of number crunchers as well as raising the status of a perennial loser to a repeated contending franchise (3 potential playoff appearances in 5 years including at least 2 NFC championships and 1 SB). All he has to do is stay healthy. He only has 2 potential knocks….no regular season MVP and playing in an era known for 2 of the greatest QBs in history…Manning and Brady.

Agreed
Although if Brees gets more than one superbowl and continues to break records can stand on his own even amongst the two of them. I don’t think Manning is ever going to get another Superbowl. (there I said it!)
2010 is cuzzin's breakout year...run with that chip bruh!
I think Manning has shot his bolt
There, I said it. Manning has always been highly dependent on strong, close relationships with his receivers. Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, etc. Take away those guys and give him a bunch of subs, and suddenly he turns into an interception machine…because it was always about the rapport.
Compare that to Tom Brady. He went to his first Super Bowl with Troy Brown and David Patten; to his second with Troy Brown and Deion Branch; to his third with Deion Branch and David Givens; to his fourth with Randy Moss and Wes Welker. He may go to his fifth with Wes Welker and Deion Branch again.
By contrast, in Manning’s only Super Bowl he was playing with the same receiver corps he’d had since 2003, and would have through 2008. I don’t think he can make the adjustment to a new receiver corps as quickly or as well as Brady. Despite all the gaudy stats (and the three free MVPs he found in his Cheerios), I put Manning a full level lower than Brady.
It was worth the wait.

ME with some big balls today.
That is huge saying you think Brady is above Manning. Kudos my interwebs friend.
Week 13 matchup: Bengals
Week 13 motto: Keep in the race, keep in the fight
Manning had one season, 2004, when he was head and shoulders better than any other quarterback in the league. If you can’t make a case that he’s the most valuable quarterback, how can you make the case that he’s the most valuable player in the entire NFL? Simple: if you’re a member of the AP voting claque, and you’ve had your lips surgically grafted onto Manning’s butt, there is no other choice.
It was worth the wait.
I agree he's had those go-to receivers
but I’ve always seen him as a QB that could do it with anybody. He’s made Garcon and Collie better. I just think his “legacy” in general is overrated. Due more to his inability to win it when it counts, (besides the one he has). I still respect the dude as a crazy skilled QB though. I’ve seen them fools down by 17 or something like that so many times then i come back and they won (just not this past week, LOL!)
2010 is cuzzin's breakout year...run with that chip bruh!
I'll go you one further

And I’m loving every minute of it. Funny thing is, today on Espn. They were discussing the Colts. Instead of mentioning how Dallas beat them, the “Experts” immediately were saying, "What’s wrong with the “Almighty Colts” and our “Almighty God” Peyton Manning? I wanted to vomit.
They also stated that earlier in the season the poll votes were already voting “Him” to be an MVP for 2010. Well golly! Didn’t he already steal 4 recent MVP’s? The bloody media always druling over this guy. I would love to see the Colts miss the playoffs just to get the horseshoe out of their butts. Sick n tired of the media melting all over the Colts and “The Great Peyton Manning”
When Drew Brees was kind of struggling earlier in the season, that lasted for about 10 seconds….then back to the Great Colts
