A Manning Mistake Already?

Okay, maybe I'm crazy, and please correct me if I'm wrong. During the Pro Bowl last night, during the Brees and Manning interview at halftime, did Peyton call Darren Sharper "Jamie" Sharper? It's entirely possible that I misheard, and I haven't bothered to go looking for the interview on the internet, but I swear that's what I thought he said. Maybe he does need some of those now infamous "remember me" shots that Williams was talking about if he can't even get our players' names right. I'm obviously making something out of nothing here, but maybe an INT return for a TD will make Sharper a little easier to remember.

That aside, that interview, and watching Brees and Manning interact afterwards really was the highlight of the game last night for me. It's going to be awesome watching them duel it out on the field.

You jokingly talk about a honey dip

I worked at the university that the Manning family has their passing academy at, Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La. The stories I could tell you about BOTH Eli and Peyton.

And yes,

For the record, I totally used a ridiculous headline to get views on a post that has absolutely no bearing on anything game-related. It’s a trick I learned fromo Yahoo! and ESPN.

Sorry I missed the chat

Game wasn’t particularly interesting. I should’ve logged on and participated.

Who is Jamie Sharper?

Did he put a whoopin on manning, or did she put a whoopin on manning?
I heard it, Brees gave him a funny look about that time, too. Went to bed after that, looked a flag football game to me, they were going thru the motions, kind of like 3/4 speed practice where no one was getting hit. Cool with me, but I bet the commish may not like to see his product line so misrepresented on Nat’l TV.
Anyhow, gonna be a fun game come Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are not having a good time, dont think anyone is gonna have one for you!!

Jamie Sharper is Darren’s older brother. He played mostly for the Ravens, so Peyton is well familiar with him. Darren has only played on NFC teams.

If he takes a pick-6 off Manning, his brother will start getting called Darren.

Ah, makes much more sense now. Now that you mention it, seems like my buddy told me about Sharper’s brother. Seems Manning’s memory is better than mine.

Maybe if

Sharper blitzes and hits Peyton, he’ll stand over him and say “my name Darren beotch, remember it”

Good one!

I hope Darren is mic’d up.

He apparently already has “slipped up” in that fashion during one of the early media day sessions.

The game hasn’t even started and the war of words is already getting heated.

During the interview I got my first really good look at Drew's birthmark.

It’s shaped like Okinawa! (Chills.)

Gotta’ find a buddist monk and find out what this means!!!!!
