Sound FX: Super Bowl XLIV
via macondaily.com
Did anyone else see this tonight on NFL Network? There was a lot of great audio from the game with lots of clips from Payton and Scott Fujita (I'm guessing he might have been mic'ed up.) After the big two point conversion, Scott jokingly told Lance, "Great play. You just went from an assh%^$ to a hero in about thirty seconds."
The most interesting clip came when Payton took a ferocious bite out of Mike Bell's ass after he slipped down on that goal-line 3rd down play. Mike walks by Payton and Coach asks him, "What kind of shoes you got on?" Bell shows him and Coach yells, "Yeah, that motherf***in' figures! Put on some cleats!" I think we now maybe know why Bell never came back into the game. I have to wonder if he'll be back next year after seeing Payton tear into him. It's probably nothing, though. I've heard that Coach gives them all a pretty rough tongue lashing from time to time. Still, it was a boneheaded move by Mike. He should have had his cleats on.
If you missed it, here's some links to the entire program. It's a must see:

NICE!
LOVE NFL Network. Sound Efx is one of my favorite shows. SP hollering at Bell was classic. I love to see stuff like that.
That was cool
And did anyone else see Bill Cower giving props to the Saints players near the endzone after the pick 6

Cowher picked the Saints
He was happy that Tracy made him look good. I’d be happy too. Hell, I am happy! WHO DAT! And Scott Fujita is a badass.
"We’re running Ambush."
I forgot to record this last night.
I’ve been recording every Saints game and other programs all season. I hope they broadcast this again. I suspect this is a season I’ll be watching over and over and over again for the remainder of my days. I agree the Fujita to Manning trash talking was very cool.
"As soon as Tony (Dungy) said we had no chance, I knew we had 'em right where we wanted 'em"--Coach Sean Payton right after Super Bowl XLIV with the Lombardi Trophy firmly in hand. WHO DAT!!

It's coming on a few more times today, and a few more times this weekend.
Also, this weekend they are replaying the Sound FX shows from the playoffs.
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!
Fujita talking trash to Manning!
was an instant classic!
"There’s no doubt in my mind that we can win a championship together," Brees said Friday inside the empty media room at the Saints’ headquarters. "Not only for the players and the organization, but for this city. Because no place deserves it more." Drew Brees
Fujita: "How about throwing us a few." Manning: "Yeah alright."
Thanks Peyton!

Haha
It seemed like Fujita was just trying to have fun & Peyton was not having it. Those clips of Peyton/Fujita & him walking off the field without a handshake is sheding a different light on Peyton. Maybe he just takes the game too seriously?

There is extended footage
Of the Sean Payton/Mike Bell clip where Payton tells Bell it was his fault that Bell had the wrong shoes on. They obviously cut that off and that is kind of sh***y imo.

Did you know that it's part of the equipment manager's job to make sure everyone has on the proper cleats that Sean calls for?
So, I guess there’s someone else that got their butt chewed!

The "Inside the NFL" SB XLIV coverage has the full footage.
Where Payton does acknowledge fault in getting the wrong shoes to Mike Bell.
