Runoff for Canal Street Chronicles' New Tagline
I wasn't going to do this but since it's a popular idea and we've had requests for a slight alteration to one of our options, what the hell. Presenting your three finalists for the new CSC tagline.
This will really be the final vote. Promise.
Just for kicks, here is a picture of Drew Brees as King Bacchus. I just got back from the parade.

Maybe he’s working on using up all its bad luck on people who didn’t get throws or something…
For those who can't remember the uncapped FA rules, this link's for you.
I say "home of the who dat nation"
1.Because we seem to be the only ones that get that
2.It seems to bug other people
3.And lets see the nfl say that belongs to them

We could follow it with: © or ® or ™ or §aints, Who Dat Nation Home!
My friend who rode in Bacchus just texted me
that she was dancing on a stage somewhere with Sean Payton. I hate her, I hate her bad.

ROTFLMAO! First two words, "My friend"! :-)

It is kinda funny how women and men compete differently sometimes. But we still compete, no matter what.

"Who Dat Nation"
…is a MUCH more important search term than “flying pigs.” That tagline will get us closer to the top of a lot more searches, and get more traffic.

that was my vote for the SEO and perfect description…
plujs, you start calling your self “THE” home… and people are drawn to that. Like someone else said, I think we would double in size over the next year.

What about a merger?

I almost hesitated even posting it
Not wanting to undercut/dilute Dave’s continuing work on the tagline, and by no means wanting to open the floodgates for another round of discussions/votes, but this whole SB Nation is built on populist support and grassroots effort, so I thought…“Why not?”
Also, the merger makes it ring a bit of Spinal Tap (Stonehenge) – genius -
Where the Banshees live, and they do live well…Stone-henge!

I had a hard time choosing between the two.
So a combo sounds great to me. Rec’d it.

I definitely am most partial to Home of the Who Dat Nation
but I do like the bit of whimsy the tag at the end brings and since both in the tag line are quotes that people might look up for many reasons it reinforces SEO… So the combo works for me.

I think we have a winner
Can’t we all just get along? Apparently so…except for the 12% who voted for “Bags to Riches.” I say we ban ’em.

is the tagline meant to be permanent?
It’s kind of been fun to watch it change over the 2 years I’ve been here. If we go with Home of the Who Dat Nation, that’s really it, then. Permanent. And no reference to the championship?
I vote for #3. Nothing bugs other people more than reminding them when you’ve won. And we’ve been the buggee and not the bugger for 43 years.
"I've been waiting almost four years for this!!!" said MobileSaint when Hartley's kick split the uprights.
Not necessarily permanent
Things happen, life changes, taglines need adjusting.

Personally I’m more partial to “Home of the Whodat Nation”
I know “Where Pigs Fly and Hell has frozen over” is a good tie to the superbowl win,
but for me at least winning the superbowl marks the end of the lovable loser era for the saints. we are winners now. if the saints win another it’ll be b/c we’re a solid team, not b/c hell has frozen over. We are champions—let’s act like it.
Well technically we didn’t win because hell froze over this time either…

Maybe instead of celebrating what has happened (which is totally cool, by the way! :-) ), we should be looking ahead?

I like my signature line more. “Finished Strong.”

So, is the polling finished or are we going to turn this into another "Perfect Storm vs. Domeland Security" debacle?

Hey, when you can make 80% of your constituency happy, you’re doing a fine job…

Oh and that debate was a bit different because a significant number of the voters LOVED one of those and HATED the other. So it got pretty rancorous.
This one I think all of us like all three, we just have one we like a bit better. So when 80+% of us can get the one we wanted in there somewhere, I think that’s a reasonable compromise.
Had somebody suggested putting both names on the shirts, I suspect that the debate might have been over a bit sooner.
For those who can't remember the uncapped FA rules, this link's for you.

I havent been around for a few days, and love the idea of having both, it is who we are, in a nut shell, large paper hull pecan size nutshell.
My kids always heard that hell would freeze over when the Saints won da Super Bowl, and NOW they know their dad is full of crap. We win, and dammed iffin the devil dont hold up his end of the bargain.
Anyway you slice it, dice it, or throw it in da gumbo, we are still da Champs.
WHO DAT??? AINT NEAUXBODY!!!!!
RAZOOOOED DAT AZZ!!!
I like it!! I love it!! I want some mo of it!! Supa Bowl Rings, Dat Is!!
