"Before he was a star" footage in 'Payton's Place' video from NFL Films
In case you missed it in the "featured Saints videos" section waaaay down low and on the right margin of the CSC site here, please let me direct your attention to it.
There's a great video that has CHOICE footage of Payton as the Bears strike QB in '87 (getting crushed by a Saints pass rusher), as well as in his younger coaching days with the Eagles, Giants, and Dallas. I haven't actually listened to the audio that goes with it, but after watching the silent movies of the younger Payton images, I knew I had to Fanshot a link to this video.
It also struck me that others watching it with no sound could hilariously "caption" some of the bits for a laugh...

Just watched it with the audio...and it is a good piece to watch
I love the part where Parcells says he wants a TD pass and Payton says, “That’s why I’m talking.” No wonder he had to get out of Big D…otherwise it might have become mutually assured destruction. Ha!
