There are a lot of great things about being a Saints fan right now.

I'm not getting into to the storyline side, I'm talking the GM side. I think Mickey Loomis & Co. have been very effective at recognizing and coming up with reasonable solutions to problems in the past. While the record may not indicate it, at the beginning of each and every year, the Saints have been a better team than the year before. They haven't done it by jamming some "You can only build championships through the draft." philosophy down our throat, and take 6 years before results. But they didn't take the Dan Snyder's Wil E. Coyote like approach to free agency either. I'll be sure to remember that when I'm giving thanks in November. Point being, the powers at be have taken a rational approach to each and every situation they've encountered. While some decisions are better than others, I feel confident that they are usually well-thought out by competent people. To say that as Saints fan, might be the greatest thing of all this.

P.S. Shout out to my Chicken Gordon Blue avatar from McAllister's Deli...if we could get a little petition going to bring it back, that'd be cool. Thanks.
