MAKE alabama's CODY a DT
Could this be a probable possibility?
According to NFL.com he has lost 16lbs and now weighs 354.
We all agree that his weight needs to come down a bit and his speed is a little less than desirable, but at a DT it might be a good fit.
We do have a need for both DE and DT. and if weight is an issue then i will take this as a good omen that he is willing to go the extra mile.
Now will he be able to sustain the weight loss?
What do yall think?

he was/is
a 3-4 NT (which is a DT) at his weight… but what I’ve always wonder is why 4-3 defenses don’t want a NT that size? If he’s big enough to take on two blocks and plugs up the middle in a 3-4, just imagine the fits opposing offenses would have with Sedrick Ellis (who is more of a pressure 3 tech DT) and Will Smith and a possible drafttee like Wooten coming off the edges…
Colts fans are officially the worst sore losers and their home is Stampede Blue. Don't laugh Vikings fans... you're a close second!
He doesnt move much but he doesnt get moved either.
I do worry about his stamina but NFL is about specialazation anyway. He would be pulled in passing situations anyway. He will command double teams and he will keep Vilma much cleaner to pursue .
Its a tough call but picking last in the 1st round is tough. Elite talent without some risks is gone. Welcome to the winners circle.
KICK ASS every day!!!
He may be a great fit for you guys.
He immediately clogs the middle. Takes some attention away from Ellis and allows him to play pass first more. He will also help keep Vilma clean.
Teams will be forced running wide more which means Im looking to upgrade the speed of my OLBs in the 2nd or 3rd round.
I really think he will fall to you guys the big thing is how much Greg Williams D expects his interior guys to pursue. Cody didnt play a whole lotta plays in any game and not many tackles in terms of production.
KICK ASS every day!!!
but i think his impact came...
sort of off the ball…he didnt get many tackles and stats because he forced teams to play away from him
The Easter Bunny is a savage...
No way
Cody is a bust in the making. Too fat (he was up to 410 lbs. in junior college), no quickness, no stamina (at one point, he played in less than half of Alabama’s defensive plays). I’d much rather have Jared Odrick, if he’s available.

i rec that!
have you guys seen cody with his shirt off – he looks dumpy…he will be out of the league in 3 years. of course he is losing weight now, he has millions coming his way. J.O. was the BIG10 defensive player of the year as voted by the coaches.

Don't
know if my perception is right but seems to me this organization gets players that are #1 coach able and team oriented, not a lot of me and I. It’s hard to get a feel for whom they will come up with in trades or the draft. I kinda like this confusion. You can bet who ever they bring in want be an embarrassment.

he lost that 16 pounds taking a dump in the Poop-Can
the weight loss is fool’s gold. STAY AWAY from him

If he's been UP to 410
…he’ll be back.

Sounds like Charles Grant...
keep him away from starcaps
Colts fans are officially the worst sore losers and their home is Stampede Blue. Don't laugh Vikings fans... you're a close second!
For that matter, if we take away Grant’s water pills he couple probably be our new DT anyway.
For those who can't remember the uncapped FA rules, this link's for you.
I think he'd be beneficial
He’d take up 2 blockers almost everytime and when he doesn’t he can push the 1 player back. I think he causes others around him to be better, sorta like Albert Haynesworth. He will help plug our run D up(think about all the big runs that started because the Grant/Ayodele got moved up front on their side) and should be able to successfully beat 1 on 1s on a consistent basis. Also, I think that we have good enough coaches and players that will help keep him from getting too big again.
Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!
If he's down 16 lbs, give him 2 days after the combines
he’ll gain back 32.
I'll be your huckleberry- Doc Holliday to Ringo
He looked REALLY stiff today...
not anything like Pat Williams or the big boy in New England.
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!
I a sorry for even posting this one
I actually hoped he would be somewhat impressive at the combine, but fat B@$T@rd did not even do the bench press
