It’s the bewitching hour in Okinawa and as you wake (assuming you slept) to greet this glorious day I am turning in early to rise at 4:30AM to prepare for what should be one of the best days of my entire life.
I made one more reconnaissance trip to the club to make sure of my table choice. I’ll be exposed to four TV screens; one of them about 12’X18’. That’s right - feet, not inches. I’ll be 15 feet from the bar, 20 feet from the buffet, about 2 feet higher elevation then those around me for obstruction free viewing, and I already tipped a waitress who will be working my area tomorrow morning.
I’ll be wearing my Saints cap (with Saints Guardian Angel Pin attached), white Shockey jersey with khaki pants (pretty close to old gold), fleur-de-lis pendant, and combat boots.
I’ve already loaded my car closely following my checklist:
Saints Banner w/pole and stand (check)
Saints Umbrella (check)
Boom Box with Dukes of Dixieland CD already cued to "When the Saints Go Marching In" (check)
Wizbang (pole with attached washboard, tambourine, bicycle bell, and bulb horn) (check)
Silver whistle and yellow flag (check)
Siren (check)
Cheer o’ Meter (comedy magic show prop to measure crowd noise) (check)
Two boxes of tropical bar parasols to put in patron’s drinks for the "Miami feel" (check)
Saints Black and Gold apron and chef’s hat for my waitress to wear (check)
Two bags of confetti (check)
CAMERA!!!!!! (oh hell check yeah!)
Since I will not be participating in the live stream on CSC I want to take this opportunity to wish everybody a great game and a speedy hangover recovery!
Wherever you are watching the game, be safe and may the best Black and Gold clad New Orleans Saints Team win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
See y’all in about 18 hours.
Oh yeah, and a "royalty free" WHO DAT to the greatest Fans in the world!
