Finished Strong!
Congratulations to the 2009 New Orleans Saints and their fans! Super Bowl champions!
We...are...New Orleans. As I sit here and watch the Saints celebrate on the field, I realize there is nothing anyone can say to truly describe this moment.
Thank you, New Orleans Saints. For everything. The last forty-three years have made this moment that much sweeter. We love you!

Thanx Coltsfan...
It’s good 2 see there still r sum good fan’s out there that don’t run at the mouth & say this & that neg BS. We will enjoy it & wish yall Colts the absolute best next season… Yall will alway’s contend… Thanx 4 the good sportsmenship, take care!!!
What's that I hear about Drew Brees being not quite good enough?
32 completions in the Super Bowl, tying a record, and the largest come from behind victory since Super Bowl XXIII, as well as outperforming future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning? Nah. he’s not “not quite good enough”. He’s a legend, and I want to get married, have a son, and name it after that “pick 6”.

Brees outplayed Manning and now has won as many SBs as Manning
He is def a super elite QB now… its no longer a Brady and Manning conversation… it is now a Brady, Manning and Brees conversation. Congrats on the victory

I would suspect most of them aren’t regulars around here. Most of them probably aren’t even Saints fans, just anti-Indy. But unfortunately there are always a few idiots in any crowd. No doubt some are Saints fans. For those few who are, you have our agreement. They’re idiots and deserve to be banned.
bob,
some of us have our reasons for talking now. others have been (shall we say) less than cordial to saints fans.
Child, please.

Oh, and the earth moves when Sean Payton walks...
Because his balls are just that huge. Opening the 2nd half with an onside kick? Are you crazy? Nobody saw it coming because it’s just not something people do, unless you have balls the size of the Rock of Gibraltar.

I am a Niner fan and grew up watching Montana
Drew Bress plays more like Montana than Peyton Drew Brees is now officially with no argument the best QB in the league and should have been the MVP of the regular season
Thank you Al Davis for Michael Crabtree!!!!!
I think all three of the top quarterbacks are very good. It will take several more years (and hopefully rings) to truly crown any one “no argument the best QB in the league”.
But with NO reservation will I agree, he should have been the MVP. Or at least the co-MVP.
Then again, MVP of the league or MVP of the super bowl. I’ll take the latter without any doubt!
Drew Brees is now a Hall of Fame player
He crossed the border tonight. When he finally retires, he’ll be going to Canton.
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!
No way i Hell is he the best in the league
I still give that too Peyton. I am sorry Saints fans, I am not trying to be a troll but no way brees is number one.
I say hes tied for 2 with Brady. But I still believe Peyton is better

If so, then Tom leads all three by a mile.
And right now Tom isn’t the best QB. He could be again if they can fix his OL that so recently seemed elite and get him a few more decent WRs, but right now he isn’t.
So right now Peyton and Drew are tied in the stat that matters most, SB rings.
Peyton Manning won his ring playing against Rex Grossman
Drew won his ring playing against Peyton Manning. Does that count for something?
WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!
Wel he wasn't the best this year buddy.
"I do know that we have some unfinished business that we started a few years ago and we want to finish the deal."- Dulymus McAllister
Peyton was the best this year
however Drew was the best on Super Bowl Sunday when it counted the most.
At the end of thier seasons it will be Manning > Brees > Brady.
Come back when mgrex does, and show me your proof of that, because I’d really love to see it.

Super Bowl 44 is over, and we still don’t know who that was that said they’d beat them Saints!!!!!!!!
Every few minutes, it hits me. "Holy *$^#, the Saints are in the Super Bowl."
Words can't express this night
Everyone doubted this team. The analysts said that the Colts had the better QB, but Brees played one of the greatest games in Super Bowl history. That the Colts had the better clutch kicker, but Hartley nails every single kick he is called upon for while Stover misses one. Jonathon Casillas, the undrafted rookie, comes up with what could be the play that defined the game for us on that onside kick. And lets not forget that it was another rookie in Morstead that kicked the ball perfectly on that play. Sean Payton, Gregg Williams, Pete Carmichael, and the rest of the coaches called a flawless game and showed a lot of guts all night. Every player on this team had some heroics in some way or another and it just makes it that much sweeter for everyone in the Who Dat Nation.

that was a perfect onsides kick
that went right of off Mr. Kendra Wilkisons hands(Hank Basket for those of you who don’t know who that is)

So, uh, show of hands. Who has cried tears of joy at least once since that pick six?
I was watching post-game a little misty-eyed, but as soon as I called my mama (because my dad likes the dirty birds too…), I just started breaking down.
Every few minutes, it hits me. "Holy *$^#, the Saints are in the Super Bowl."
Hell, I got teary-eyed, and I'm a Raiders fan!
This was a great ending to a great story; and it’s just a beginning too! The league is a better league with the Lombardi in New Orleans.

After that play I just kept repeating “its really happening, its really happening.”

No tears, but
I had to use some Cloraseptic spray for my sore throat from yelling/screaming!
I just screamed "GAME OVER"
High steppin’ around the house while hoopin and hollerin. Group hugged the family. Then just let the rest soak in.

WORLD CHAMPS!!!!!!!
This is awesome! The best part is they beat Peyton Manning, the guy everybody wanted to say was the greatest ever!! Who knows, he may be when it’s all over, but hopefully if we keep rolling the right way, it could be a certain #9 instead!!! DREW DAT!!!
Two questions:
First, is there anyone sober in the French Quarter, including the bartenders? And second, will Governor Bobby Jindal and the Louisiana state legislature declare this week a state holiday?
This is in celebration of my second ban. Rocky Top Talk didn't like what I had to say about Kiffin, and Conquest Chronicles didn't like the unpleasant, ugly, bitter truth. Why are they all so butthurt?
I'm in Kansas and kept my son home from school today!
I told him after the NFC Championship game that he did not have to go to school the day after the Super Bowl. We’ve been having a great day reliving this magical season.

Well Guys
I’m sorry I’ve had Internet trouble throughout the evening but I’m so happy for you New Orleans residents. The Saints deserved this. Drew Brees is class and he is a magnificent individual. Sean Payton is an illustrious coach and made all the right calls. Keep up the good work and we’ll see what happens next season!

Wow…just, wow. What an emotional night and year. I honestly didn’t think I would see a Saints Super Bowl win in my lifetime. What a ride.
Who Dat?™
Oh and I won us the Super Bowl basically
Because right before the pick 6 I said I needed to get up and refill my lucky Saints mug. I did, and you know the rest. You’re welcome, New Orleans.

I eschewed all game threads and Twitter during gameplay, except for one statement “Let’s go D! Turnover time! Finish strong!” on Twitter, as the Colts started the drive that ended in the pick six.

I am offshore and said all week that I was going to play DJ Munkie’s video on U-Tube with “Stand Up & Get Crunk” during the game, just like at the Dome.
The ame started and I forgot, until we were down 10 and the 2nd qter was just starting. I turned it on, played it during timeouts and between big plays on defense,
AND THE REST IS HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you are not having a good time, dont think anyone is gonna have one for you!!
My Dad has a Bacchus necklace that has eyes that light up
from when we rode in the parade.
He broke it out just for the superbowl for luck. During the 3rd and 5 play, he turned on its flashing eyes to jinx the colts and I’LL BE DAMNED, Peyton threw the pick six at that exact moment!
We’re going to be only bringing out the Bacchus medalion for the most crucial games from now on. We laughed so hard.

As a 49ers fan, after all the years and battles we had against you as division rivals, and all that your city had to endure, I was pulling for you all this evening. Congratulations! Drew Brees should have had the MVP of the league this year and he proved that tonight. You have been waiting a long time and you all deserve it. Was glad to see an NFC Team take it tonight. Congrats again.

Is there any denying that Drew Brees is the best QB in the league? He’s got his ring AND he beat a Superbowl QB. You can’t take anything away from that. He is the BEST. Bless you Boys.

Drew Brees, Lance Moore, Tracy Porter, Reggie Bush, Pierre Thomas, the great city of New Orleans this country would not be the same without…
The league is a better league with a Lombardi trophy in New Orleans; I’m quite certain there’ll be many more to come, as long as this organization acts as it has for the last few years.
Enjoy, and be safe for Mardi Gras! Y’all will probably be passed out by then! I’d be right there with you….

Congrats to the New Orleans Saints- from a Packer fan
You guys stuck with your team through all the painful years, now that painful burden is off your shoulders. Your Saints are now officially in something called a Superbowl Club. You’re not the team where the fans where bags over their heads. Your not the team that could rarely ever make it to the playoffs. You’re not the team that everyone laughs at. You’re not the A’ints. You are the New Orleans Saints, the winner the of 2010 Superbowl!!!!! You did what many teams have not, and that is win the one and only game that matters each year. You can proudly say that your team was the best team in the NFL in the 2009-2010 NFL Season. Live it up, soak it in, the glory is all yours. Thank you for the entertaining and inspiring season.
