I’d love it if it is merely five years, but despite my absolutely rabid distaste for the Steelers, we do have to give them credit. They have been, and in many ways still are, a very good team. And unfortunately it will probably take a bit more than five years to catch up with them. But as long as Drew and GW are around, I think we have a chance to pull it off eventually.

looking at various sites and Viking fans are still whining, claiming this was supposed to be their win but we ripped them off and wishing us death and destruction

it is great to see so many fans of other teams posting well-wishes. I for one really appreciate the support. I’ll try to hate each of your teams a little bit less next year.

It was great seeing you guys win the Superbowl. Nobody deserves it more. I must say, I jumped up and down when Manning threw that pick six and started screaming

Chiefs fan here!

I’m grinning ear-to-ear for you guys. As a fan from Kansas City who hopes to one day see my guys win again someday, I couldn’t be happier to see the underdogs take the Colts to the very end and end up on top.

Congratulations. I’m happy for you guys. This is absolutely amazing, and as if it couldn’t get better, seeing our own Lenny Dawson deliver that trophy to you, was the icing on the cake.

Enjoy it! You deserve it.

I hope I can experience this someday. Have fun. Be safe…and congratu-f’n-lations!

My long, drawn-out predictions that no one cares about, nor will bother to remember:

1. Todd Haley will still be the Chiefs Head Coach up to the 2011 season.
2. Clancy Pendergast won't make it to the 2010 season and was never intended to. Last-minute hire for a position that needed to be filled.
3. Todd Haley will not be the OC at the start of the 2010 season.

by jbj8609 on Feb 7, 2010 10:46 PM CST reply actions

Man I wish I could have seen that. They turned the TV feed off at the party I was at before that point. :(

Guess I’ll have to try to find it online. I’m sure it will be on YouTube shortly.

by FriarBob on Feb 7, 2010 10:50 PM CST up reply actions

haha...it will be somewhere I assure you.

It was 40 years ago today that Lenny got to hoist that trophy, and I was happy to see him deliver it to a team – a CITY – that couldn’t deserve it more. Take this feeling in, and enjoy it!

Again…congratulations. I love seeing a team that no one thought could do it…er, well…DO IT!

Hope this is the Chiefs, again, someday.

To all the analyst haters....

such as Clark Judge & co… if you had any dignity left you would quit you job after spewing such utter garbage analysis leading up to this game. Maybe Manning is looking for a towel boy so I’m sure you would jump at the opportunity. You need to know a team before you start trashing it. Shame on all you guys!

ummmm ill just say your team played great (our QB did a great job so it wasn't like brees out played him by a bunch or anything like that)

Manning made one mistake that you took advantage of and we didn’t on yours. basically your D came up with a play when it mattered most and ours didn’t

Niner blogger here.

Congrats you guys, I was rooting for the Saints (or more specifically Brees) and it was a good game. Happy to see the Saints pick up their first Super Bowl win, but if you get four more I’m going to have to hate you guys.

Cheers!

Congratulations, Saints fans. Your team kicked some serious ass out there tonight, and you’ve got your Lombardi Trophy. Richly deserved, and I’m happy for all the dedicated Saints fans I’ve had the chance to talk to over the last couple of years. You’ll spend the next six months grinning from ear to ear, I’m sure.

See you in September!

You are one class act (and a closet who dat). Thanks for the support and I hope youre team does well. Unless its regarding the Saints. But seriously, You have been a great person on here and I thank you, as do all Who Dats, and wish you good luck next year.

Because I haven't clicked out of the screen I'll totally comment on this as well.

Enjoyed blogging with Dave when the Niners played the Falcons. I think that may have been one of the times we had an official trash talking post, not sure but either way good guy and great blogger.

Congrats- from a Packer Fan

You guys stuck with your team through all the painful years, now that painful burden is off your shoulders. Your Saints are now officially in something called a Superbowl Club. You’re not the team where the fans where bags over their heads. Your not the team that could rarely ever make it to the playoffs. You’re not the team that everyone laughs at. You’re not the A’ints. You are the New Orleans Saints, the winner the of 2010 Superbowl!!!!! You did what many teams have not, and that is win the one and only game that matters each year. You can proudly say that your team was the best team in the NFL in the 2009-2010 NFL Season. Live it up, soak it in, the glory is all yours. Thank you for the entertaining and inspiring season.
