Around SBN: Notre Dame's Turnaround: How Have The Irish Done It?

What Was YOUR Favorite Play?

Tracy Porter's interception was #1.

The onside kick was #2.

But my third favorite play was Vilma calling a run to the left (his right). He pointed out the hole that they were going to run through, then he ran into the hole and STUFFED Addai behind the line of scrimmage.

So...

Besides the INT and onside kick, what was your favorite play?

Bonus: I'd say Lance Moore's two-point conversion circus catch was my #4.

The kneel down at the end has to go in there somewhere. The simple fact that we could kneel down to claim victory was VERY sweet. No frantic comeback for us, no sirree bob!

That was a great one too.

surreal wasn't it?

I found myself thinking is it really happening. Although I felt the win coming for days and knew for sure even before the pick 6 it was a weird dream feeling.

Obviously Porter's interception and the onside kick

but also Moore’s 2 point conversion because right then I knew for sure we we going to win it. Hartley’s 3rd field goal was pretty sweet too.

The Pick obviously, sealed it

Shock-Man’s TD gets forgotten, only by the acrobatic Moore 2-pt. conv., Was hoping Shockey would score. Happy for him, since he was hobbled the last few weeks, he answered the bell.

Pierre Thomas for the TD

I loved the screen play, I love the way PT runs the ball, whether on a catch or hand off, just watching him run the ball is a joy to me.
Just wait til next year.

Imagine Peyton as a kid in Nawlins, always dreaming of throwing the winning TD in da SB for da Saints, well Sunday, he finally did it!!!!!!

Bru, The first time I saw Thomas was when he played in a preseason game in 07

and I knew when he got a shot, he was going to be special. He has earned his way to the Super Bowl the hard way and did it with class. Ialso love watching him carry the ball or screen plays. He will be great next year too.

That's my vote also BB

what I liked about it, and it’s happened at least 1 other time this year…is when you see the defender coming from behind, to tackle Pierre, and then poof he takes a side step to avoid the defender BEHIND him that you KNOW he can’t see, and the defender goes sprawling on the turf like he tripped on his own shoe laces!

Have to say onsides kick.

When they did that I was cussing Payton like a dog! When we came up with the ball I was yell’n “You sneeky ballsy SOB!! I love ya”.

Manning's TD to Porter?

Manning finally got to throw that TD pass to win one for da Saints. He has only been dreaming about it since he was a kid.
OOPS, he was wearing the wrong jersey, in the dream he always had a Saints jersey on.

Imagine Peyton as a kid in Nawlins, always dreaming of throwing the winning TD in da SB for da Saints, well Sunday, he finally did it!!!!!!

Ha! Unlike the previous game, there were just too many!

All of PT’s plays. That man can run through boulders.
Shock’s TD (and his after game comment)
The Pick
Lance’s two points (really special because he’s seen so little action this year.
The Kick and Reis’s play on getting the ball. He made another big play, also.
The kid seems to play, like a true Saint, with a lot of heart
Ah, geez, if I thought about it, I think there were probably two or three more!

Ditto...

I think if I ever get a Jersey it will have to be Shockey’s… I think…. but being female I reserve the right to change my mind.

Oh Yeah!

You gotta love a Shockey jersey. Favorite play: Sharper pointing at Manning as Porter was going for 6.
