Around SBN: Miikka Kiprusoff Wins 300th Game, Buffalo Crushes Boston

"The Saints, with Super Bowl XLIV MVP Drew Brees behind center, are about as far from the starting quarterback market as a football team can get."

About!? How can a team be any further away?

Well, further might look like this: you could be the Saints with Drew Brees as your starter

Peyton Manning as your #2, Tom Brady as your emergency QB, AND Philip Rivers on your practice squad.

Adam_Schefter: Filed to ESPN: Cleveland landed its second QB of the week, this time Jake Delhomme. Browns and Delhomme agree to a two-year deal.

I guess he REALLY wanted a chance to start. So it’s Seneca Wallace vs. Jake. Diet Pepsi on Seneca Wallace.

QB purgatory = Cleveland, Ohio

Browns reach 2-year agreement with QB Jake Delhomme; he spent last 7 seasons with Panthers.

Hell, they may as well let Cribbs play QB. He did decent in college. Plus he’s a hometown hero. Fans might not cheer if HE gets injured.

No kidding. Behind that OL Delhomme won’t have to worry about getting hit in the back anymore. In part that’s because the left side of their line is actually pretty good. But mostly it’s because he’ll see it coming from the front!

Jake Delhomme-QB- Browns Mar. 13 – 5:49 pm et
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Browns have agreed to terms with QB Jake Delhomme on a two-year deal. The Cleveland Plain Dealer confirms.
Scratch that visit with the Saints. Delhomme’s priority was landing in a situation where he would have a chance to start, so he chose Cleveland over a return home to Louisiana. Brady Quinn is unlikely to last the offseason, which leaves the Browns with a Delomme-Seneca Wallace training camp battle. The smart money is on Wallace to defeat a washed-up Delhomme and enter Week 1 as the starter.

But I was just wondering if a few of you guys could help revive the hornets SB page, Since we do share a city

Actually, I’d say odds are that more of us on here are not in New Orleans or the immediate area these days.

But there are at least a few BB fans around, so you might find some interested. I’m not one of them tho, sorry.

Hmmm. Start in Cleveland or backup Brees in New Orleans.

I’ll take New Orleans every time. At least here Jake has a chance for a SB ring. I guess Jake can always go to the Rock and Roll HOF. The only way he’s gonna see the inside of any HOF.

actually..

he’s about 1 hour and 9 minutes from the pro football hall of fame. But the only way he’s getting in is paying the $20.00 admission rate.

I visited for the first time a couple of years ago and was talking with a guard in the players’ gallery. He told me that O.J. Simpson’s bust had been vandalized at least six different times of which he was aware. Supposedly, people have written MURDERER and other derogatory words/phrases across his forehead with a Marks-a-lot. Kind of funny and f***ed up all at the same time. Regardless, you need balls bigger than Sean Payton’s to pull something like that off, because there’s security guards and cameras all over that place. And you’re going straight to jail, if you get caught.

Well he got a TON more money than we would have given him, and he has at least a theoretical chance to play.

Not that you aren’t right, it was still the lesser place to go to… but I understand.
