Derek Anderson-QB – Browns Mar. 9 – 2:40 pm et
Browns terminated the contract of QB Derek Anderson.
The Browns had thoughts of trying to extract a draft pick for Anderson, but teams knew there was no way he was going to receive his $2 million roster bonus on March 19. Though Anderson has prototypical size and arm strength, he’s managed a brutal 48.0 percent on completions the past two years. His 2007 season will buy him another opportunity, but he’ll have to at least compete for a starting job.

“Now, Derek… Why do YOU think it is that you can’t throw a completion?”

I'm not saying Anderson's a great quarterback,

I’m just saying how many 26 year old QBs are on the market that have had a good year as a starter? Who on the market would be a better backup?

He could be the best #3 jersey-filler we've had since Tyler Palko

just a numerology joke
