Bell has an offer sheet from Eagles
As i have posted in a few spots, apparently as reported on Rotoworld:
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Eagles have signed restricted free agent RB Mike Bell to a one-year, $1.7 million offer sheet.
Question is "Do the Saints Match? Considerable debate has been had about whether Hamilton can step in and fill the role left if Bell departs. Other than his inability to wear the proper shoes, i would like to see Bell back.

If we match the offer and keep Bell do we still keep Hamilton?
Might be a good idea to keep the offense in tact as much as possible and concentrate on the defense. $1.7 mil ain’t that bad. (Where’s my wallet. . . . )
Fat, dumb, and happy. Hell, two out of three ain't bad!

voted no and also wanted to vote for burgers
Saints will let him walk and use PhotoOp and some unnamed rookie to fill the gap.

That was Payton's fault
he even said so himself.

was going to vote yes
but “i like hamburgers” was available
Yes, Sean Payton is the new Zorro. He leads wild adventures, quaffs the finest wines, embarrasses his enemies and leaves a extravagant calling card in his wake. Try as you might to stop him, but he's always one sip ahead.

I voted no
But now I’m gonna go have a hamburger just for the heck of it.

how much cheaper could you realistically get a RB that you know can get the job done??

Let him go
He did us a really good job for us but I always felt that he was doing the minimum required. Despite his obvious talent, his work ethic will keep getting him short term contracts.
He's gone
We need to start looking at bringing in help on the D. I believe we still have a good stable of RB’s Hamilton will be our Bell next year.
Hey, Mike, wanna taco?

tryin' so hard to look like Gary Cooper
nice unexpected angle, CP
although with you I should know to expect the unexpected, especially when I least expect it

what sucks
is that we wont receive any compensation if we let him go, they should have tendered him for a late round draft pick at least IMO.

They couldn’t. It was either original round or 2nd round, there is no other option. And he was undrafted which means no compensation.

Well no other low-ball option at least…

Raider fan with a suggestion
If you lose him you should get our old raider Justin Fargas. The guy plays 150% every play, extremely hard worker, good locker room guy, and is a tough back who goes between the tackles. Hes also had a 1000 yard season and was a favorite here in oakland. he got less time this year due to Michael Bush and DMC needing more time but you guys would love him. The guy deserves to be on a winner
We all love the Warriors..
We all hate Cohan as an owner of this franchise…
I kinda like this idea… you guys did cut him, right? If so, yeah we might actually be interested.

Wow, really?

Justin Fargas-RB – Raiders Mar. 12 – 9:12 pm et
The Browns have reportedly opted against signing free agent Justin Fargas.
The Eagles are also believed to have dropped out of the mix. Fargas was reported to have failed his physical upon his release from the Raiders, so it’s possible that he’s not checking out well during medical examinations.
Mickey won’t sign him. Dan’s scrap heap comment makes a lot of sense to me.
Breathe the air we have blown you.
I like him
but he seemed to be hit or miss in the last part of the season.

Update
The Eagles placed a no-trade clause in Mike Bell’s offer sheet, which is expected to keep the Saints from matching.
The no-trade clause precludes the Saints from matching and then shopping Bell back to the Eagles or around the league. New Orleans is also expected to balk at the $500,000 guaranteed in Philly’s offer sheet. He’ll be an Eagle by next Wednesday, the 24th.
"I have seen women walk right past a TV set with a football game on and - this always amazes me - not stop to watch, even if the TV is showing replays of what we call a "good hit," which is a tackle that causes at least one major internal organ to actually fly out of a player's body."
This one and Rotoworld
