FA QB List
Breesus Christ Superstar requested someone put a list of Free Agent QB's left. I am bored so I looked it up...as of 10:05 PM (AST) (2:05 PM CST) here it is [RFA's with *]
JP Losman*
Brian St Pierre
Of this list I'd like Brian St. Pierre of the UFA's, and Kyle Orton of the RFA's (which is highly...highly unlikely...) of the likely options of RFA's John Beck or Kellen Clemens. Who's you're pick of this crop? This FanPost was written by a reader and member of Canal Street Chronicles. It does not necessarily reflect the views of CSC and its staff or editors.

I am 38
Since i haven’t ever played pro football i should have lots of “tread on the tire” or “bristles on the brush” or “patties in the hamburger”.
I dominated as a QB and TE in my Football League. I am willing to relocate from Winnipeg for minimal money.
"I have seen women walk right past a TV set with a football game on and - this always amazes me - not stop to watch, even if the TV is showing replays of what we call a "good hit," which is a tackle that causes at least one major internal organ to actually fly out of a player's body."
Thanks Grizz
This is a sad sack of suck.
I would only go for an unrestricted agent. No compensation picks for these window lickers.
I’ll have to think this one over.

It is a whole heap of crud.
But not to be a pain, but is this all inclusive? What about …preemptive barf…Jeff “Jerk Face” Garcia?

Is he not available?
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!

C'mon you know you want TJ!
You didn’t even have him on the poll!! Shame! I am suprised at how many votes Culpepper got. You guys must seriously be desperate.
It's a lot easier to love the Vikings when they win...
Culpepper probably has more wins as a starter, than all those other guys have TD passes combined.
"I was not on the boat in question." -Darren Sharper
I didn't put him on there because he's a RFA
which i dont think we’d give up anything to get a backup QB
I’d vote for his Chris Simms’s detached spleen over Chris Simms.
"I was not on the boat in question." -Darren Sharper
lol @ Simms reading about the acquisition in the paper ...
“OMG, the Saints signed my former body part to a free agent contract!! Can someone please EX-SPLEEN how this is possible?!!”

cue "recorded audience laughter"
I wouldn't mind getting half the "love" that the Saints are willing to give Sharper...
If his last name wasn't Simms
he’d be a sandwich artist at subway. No offense to sandwich artists out there.

Culpepper, an aged version of JaMarcus Russell, as I recall. But prettier.

You can bump Hamdan off your list, btw. He signed with the Toronto Argonauts about a week ago.

You know Jeff George was willing to step out of retirement last year
Says he’s still got it maybe you should look at him..

no thanks
id rather sign some special teamer to feed SP juicy fruit
Yes, Sean Payton is the new Zorro. He leads wild adventures, quaffs the finest wines, embarrasses his enemies and leaves a extravagant calling card in his wake. Try as you might to stop him, but he's always one sip ahead.

Former Bowling Green QB Omar Jacobs is currently playing in the AIFA. He still holds the NCAA record for best career TD-to-INT ratio, has exceptional size and athleticism. In terms of efficiency, he seems like a pretty good candidate for the Payton School of Misfit QBs.

he dominates for me in Madden 07
so I think he should be just fine for you all, since you all play a video game style of offense(no offense)
Players who should be in the Hall of Fame: Pat TIllman, Dwight White, Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Ray Guy, Steve Tasker, Greg Llyod, Andy Russel, Cris Carter, Kevin Greene and Jerry Kramer

How many years into your franchise are you? What team?
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!
I think that Charlie is going to reitre
the dude is to injury prone anymore to be a back-up, he broke his hand in two plays this year against KC, so he i smost likely going reitre. I think that Chris Simms whould be a good fit for you guys

he was almost Denvers starter
the only reason Orton started last year for Denver was because he was what they got in return for Jay Cutler

they are all horrible !!
I guess we should draft one this year in round 5-7. Who do you think would be a good pick up?
I've heard that Jon Skeleton of Fordham would be available at that point
and from what I’ve heard he could be the next Joe Flacco

Ha! I would rather go for Dilfer than Testeverde
I chose the dessert menu option though, so I guess I really don’t count. I have already stated my case to lose Brunell and just go with Daniels.

Love me some Troy Smith
Undersized, but athletic. Likely to give us a different option than that which we’ve got. With that said, if they’re asking for more than a bag of chips for him then I’ll pass.
I’d love to see us pick up someone like Dan LeFevour or Zac Robinson late.
Question...
Since we’re on the subject of…well ok it’s not even on this subject but I didn’t have anywhere else to put it and didnt feel like writing a post for this…But does it seem to anyone else that the Cardinals are becoming the Browns and the Browns the cardinals?? Now the cards have 2 crappy (young QB’s) and the browns have a veteran that’s at least been to the big game…and just the way the browns are seeming to turn everything around…idk i see the cards falling big this year and the browns gaining big
I honestly don’t view either Leinart or Anderson as crappy. I think either is good enough to lead a balanced attack and the Cards appear to be moving more and more in that direction, at least on offense. As far as the Browns getting better, it’s hard to say. I like the backfield tandem they have now, but I have zero confidence in Delhomme as a starter. Seneca Wallace is arguably just as big of an enigma and their receiving corps is rawer than the Fujita Roll at Rock-n-Sake. You have to think they’re going to draft another “QB of the future”, so obviously there are brighter days ahead. I’m just not so sure there are going to be many of them in 2010. And I say this as a closet Browns fan, going all the way back to the Brian Sipe / Kardiac Kids era. They appear to be treading water right now.

Sounds like Holmgren was trying to reciprocate or was at least offering him a warm hand. Towards advancing Tim’s career, I mean. Think Tim might be the Brown’s “QB of the future”?

I can’t see why not. They’ve had such amazing success with SEC QBs named Tim in the past.

I think Kelly Holcomb actually was at the wheel for most of that season, or at least the stretch run and the playoff game

ahh
still..i mean yeah i think he wasn’t as good as everyone expected but he was an ok QB..is he still around? lol
Couch was a bad NFL quarterback
Shonka began to talk about Tim Couch, the quarterback taken first in that legendary draft of 1999. Couch set every record imaginable in his years at the University of Kentucky. "They used to put five garbage cans on the field," Shonka recalled, shaking his head, "and Couch would stand there and throw and just drop the ball into every one." But Couch was a flop in the pros. It wasn’t that professional quarterbacks didn’t need to be accurate. It was that the kind of accuracy required to do the job well could be measured only in a real N.F.L. game.
Now, I know some people
Sold their souls to the devil
And they don't sound nothing like Robert Johnson
I agree, to some extent. Every expansion team that has taken a QB first overall has suffered. Granted, that’s a small sample, but it’s enough for me to say that’s not the way I’d go about it. To Houston’s credit, they went after proven veteran LT Tony Boselli prior to selecting Carr, it just didn’t work out. Unlike Couch, Carr put up superb passing percentage numbers, despite his lack of protection upfront. It’s not a guaranteed solution, as even first round QBs on established teams have bombed. Kerry Collins had a little success early and is at least still in the league. Mark Brunell had clipboard holding experience in GB and Boselli to protect his blind side. No more success than Collins with his expansion team, but he didn’t succumb to alcoholism, either.

Why
Is Aaron Brooks not on this list??? Sign him!!! I miss those crazy backwards passes to offensive linemen!!!!
Peyton, I can eat Oreos faster than you!!!!
You should be
Hung, shot, Drawn and Quartered, dipped in honey and staked spread eagle near and ant bed, stabbed, decapitated, and placed on a pike in front of the Superdome for this horendous statement. We are not happy, our tail is not wagging.

Seriously don't do it
That man hasn’t been good since he lost Chris Carter and Moss. Plus he had one of the best O lines in the NFL that year. Truly this was a situation where the team made the QB.
