neworleanssaintsteamshop.com - FRIEND OR FOE?
Has anyone else ordered anything recently from the Saints "official teamshop" website?
On Friday February 5th, before the XLIV, I placed an order with them for an official Super Bowl hologram program.
On Monday the 8th, my debit card was charged the $28.50 for the program plus shipping/handling, and I have yet to see the merchandise.
I emailed the website two weeks ago and again today, but have received no response. My wife even replied to the email that came today, offering up the dang Saints snuggie, telling them "We don't want to buy anything else from you since you can't even take care of something we already ordered from you!" I have repeatedly called the two phone numbers they have listed under the "contact us" section, but get no answer or a busy signal, and no voice mail.
I don't know what else to do. I know the Saints don't own them, but the "team shop" links off the Saints site, as well as the Saints site on NFL.com, so I'm thinking the Saints may want to know if their fans are getting shafted from a group that bills itself as an "official Saints" anything.
A little help, anyone?

Contact the Saints
it’s probably due to MASSIVE orders of stuff from us, but …if you ordered something from them BEFORE the SB, and have been charged, that usually means it’s en route. Even handling massive orders, it shouldn’t take close to a month before getting your stuff. Let the Saints know….it’s prob a mix up somewhere, but better to be safe than sorry. Let us know what the deal was.
WHO DAT!!! (sue me No Fun League)
Thanks, Scott. I'll go to the Saints website and see how I can let them know about it...

wow
Keep emailing. One a day. They’ll get to you. Reply from their confirmation email if you can.
I ordered 4 programs the week before the game and they all arrived on Wed of game week. Maybe they had to do a second printing. Regardless, they should have responded to you. Good luck.
Money don't get everything it's true
What it don't get I can't use
Thanks. yeah, I'm realizing now that I never got a confirmation email
my wife just officially disputed the charge through our bank’s website, so we’ll see if that gets us anywhere.
I’ll keep sending them an email every day through the “contact us” section and see what happens. Good idea, Stu.

The Saints Nation is Overwhelming
everything in its path, including merch. purchasing! Keep on them. Since they’ve charged your card. Good Luck!

Update: my emails got a response
A customer service rep has promised to overnight/FedEx the program to me, so I should have it tomorrow. We’ll see how that works out. But, I’m hopeful and pleased with their quick response (once I told them my bank would be contacting them about the fraudulent charge that yielded no merchandise).

By law, no mail order or internet purchase is supposed to result in your account being charged until the merchandise actually ships.
I didn't know that. THANKS for the info.
But it’s all good now because they made good on the purchase…

hehehe...
once I told them my bank would be contacting them about the fraudulent charge that yielded no merchandise
Yeah, that kinda gets people jumpy.
I also mentioned in that same email
that I was ready to share my “Saintsteamshop.com” institutional dissatisfaction with all the members of the very popular, high-quality, premier Saints blog I frequent and recommend that the members join me in a boycott of the site. I bet that didn’t hurt things, either.

Just curious...
What are you doing with your program? My son brought me one back from Miami…

well, as I have always planned when the Saints made decent playoff runs (2006, 2009)
I envisioned making some kind of “manly” scrapbook archive binder of items from the season. But now, with a Super Bowl win under our belts, and a collection of a variety of memorabilia of different sizes, weights, and thicknesses (newspapers, game programs, ticket stubs, Sports Illustrateds, pictures of family Saints shrines/gameday outfits, etc.) I’m struggling with picturing/creating an appropriate format for this scrapbook archive binder. It seems mounting newspaper articles, ticket stubs, and photos, and then somehow encasing entire magazines into pages of a scrapbook archive binder may be unwieldy. Do I just get a small, airtight, foot locker for everything, then?
Is anyone else encountering this challenge?

I just pile it up in random areas
I liked the Times-Picayune’s hard cover year book Super Saints a LOT better than the Super Bowl program.

I bought a large storage box made of plastic from Office Depot...
And, I’m thinking about going to a comic book shop to get some plastic holders for my program, 3 SI’s, 3 misc. commemorative magazines.
Still thinking about buying the SI book too. Anyone got that one?

here's an air-tight option...
not sure if it’s big enough for a newspaper without extra folding… I may return mine for this one.

Thanks for bringing up the discussion, I wouldn’t have found this one otherwise. :-)

PS - glad you contributed so much to the "archival storage/scrapbook" thread - lots of options I got now...

SI hardback book is
simply a leather-bound (or faux leather-bound) reprint of the gold-cover Super Bowl commemorative issue (The Saints…Heaven Sent) they printed dated February 11, 2010 (display until 5/6/10). I opted not to get the leather-bound one since I already had ordered the soft cover.
I am interested in the “Super Saints” T-P yearbook…is that available on nola.com?

oh wow! Thanks so much. now I don't need to spend $20 on something I already have (the gold Saints SI issue).
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!
you're welcome
I’m sure they’re hoping to sell multiple copies of the same item to folks wrapped up in the post-game euphoria

and, YES....
Here’s where my mom got my copy of the T-P book…

DK - gallon sized ziploc bags hold magazines quite well, unless you're really jonesing for a perfect fit with acid-free board backing equip, too
YES, I used to collect comics big time. 20+ boxes upstairs in our attic. If I ever retire (I’m barely 40 years old now), I’m going to use the golden years to organize and maybe sell some of them on e-bay…
