Saints Pre-Season Schedule Released!
Finally something worth talking about!
The NFL released it's full pre-season schedule for the 2010 season just minutes ago. Here is how it stacks up for the Saints:
Week 1 (Aug12-16) - New Orleans Saints @ New England Patriots
Week 2 (August 19-23) - Houston Texans @ New Orleans Saints
Week 3 (August 27, CBS) - San Diego Chargers @ New Orleans Saints
Week 4 (Sept. 2-3) - New Orleans Saints @ Tennessee Titans
Though most dates and times have not been set yet, it was announced that the Saints Week 3 game against the Chargers will kick off at 8pm ET on CBS against the San Diego Chargers. I guess they feel if they can't get the match-up they want in the Super Bowl, they can force it during the pre-season.
Also of note, the Saints will be playing the Houston Texans yet again during the pre-season and will probably practice together the week before, as they have in the past.
Other points of interest across the league:
Two of those clubs -- the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys -- will kick off the preseason in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game on Sunday, Aug. 8 (NBC, 8 p.m. ET) in Canton, Ohio.
The New Meadowlands Stadium will open in primetime on Monday, Aug. 16 (ESPN, 8 p.m. ET), when the New York Jets host the New York Giants in the first game at the teams' new stadium.

Nice schedule
I’m glad we finally won’t have to play the Raiders and Bengals during the preseason. It seems like we play the Texans, Dolphins, and these two every August. Not this year.
These four should all be good teams that will give our guys a thorough test. I like how they saved the Chargers game until week three when the starters usually play 2+ quarters. CBS will like this Rivers vs. Super Bowl MVP matchup.
These preseason games will be a good litmus test for the Saints to see how they come out and react to being the “targeted” team during a full season. And we thought that last year’s schedule would be hard since we had to play the NFC and AFC East teams. As Super Bowl Champions, every team will be out to prove themselves against us. It’s gonna be a tougher road.

No Dolphins on our schedule?
Maybe I’m remembering incorrectly, but I thought we played them just about every year in pre-season.
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!
Sweet road trip weekend to Canton, if you’re a Cowboys fan. Cowboys vs Bengals and Emmitt’s induction. I was kind of hoping to make that trip with Rickey Jackson going in, though I doubt anyone in attendance will understand what he’s mumbling at the podium. “57 cheeseburger, uh … I am very honor … gold jacket look sharp … I wore gold for all two teams … thank Hugh Grant and everyone here for making this dream a true thing.”

It's almost sad
how excited I am to have this information.

I first glanced at this and thought “holy hell, we play games that are 4 days long”
Yup, we're doing that scrimmage week thing again

It is so nice and a relief
to look forward to playing teams, and actually have a REAL shot of winning! No more lip service like in years past about how this is the year…blah, blah, blah. Although, I will miss the bygone schedules……Sister Marie’s School for Wayward Orphans……Johnny T’s Bar and Grill….All Saints Nursing Home……VFW Post 331, WW1 Vets chapter.
Is it August yet?
WHO DAT!!! (sue me No Fun League)
When are they going to release the dates of the Regular Season?
Aren’t the full schedules and dates normally released by now?
If so, I suspect that it’s being delayed for no other reason than to determine if Favre is going to grace the NFL with his presence or not. If he comes back, the first game of the season will be Saints vs Vikings. If he doesn’t come back, the “re-match” loses much of it’s ratings appeal. One more reason for me to dislike the arogant S.O.B.
