Seahawks Hosting Visit with Mike Bell
Many of us predicted that the Seattle Seahawks would be active during this years free agency period and, so far, that's been pretty accurate. NFL know-it-all Adam Schefter tweeted just minutes ago that Saints running back Mike Bell will be taking a little trip to Seattle.
Busy week ahead for Seahawks - hosting visits with former Patriots TE Chris Baker and Saints RB Mike Bell.
No word has been reported as to what kind of cleats Bell will be wearing.
You will remember that the Saints tendered Bell at the lowest level and with no draft pick compensation, a sign that the Saints don't care too much about Bell's future with the team. If the Seahawks or any other team make an offer to the running back, the Saints will have a chance to match that offer. So the question becomes: Would the Saints pay to keep Bell on the team if necessary? My gut feeling is no.

Let him go. He got his ring-thank you for your services. There are way too many replacements available to worry about losing, let’s face it, a role player.
I actually would have voted for maybe
depending on what he’s offered by another team

me too
if he’s offered alot then no but if it’s low then possibly.
Superbowl bound!!!...I know! do you?! Go Saints!!
Let Bell Go
To bad the Saints let P.J. Hill get claimed of the practice squad to Philly during this past season. You remember him? He was the guy that rushed for 280 yards and 10 ypc in limited action in 2 preseason games last year. I guess the Saints were hoping nobody noticed. Philly plucked him around week 9. Might have been the nail in Westbrooks coffin.

In addition to his visit with the Seahawks, restricted free agent RB Mike Bell is also drawing interest from the Browns. The Saints’ low tender means that teams won’t have to part with a draft pick to sign Bell.
Mike Bell-RB – Saints Mar. 6 – 2:57 pm et
The Seahawks have reportedly scheduled a visit with restricted free agent RB Mike Bell early next week. Coach Pete Carroll wants to add a physical presence to his backfield. The early-season version of Bell would fit the bill, but his late-season collapse is cause for concern. The Saints extended a low tender to Bell, and they may choose not to match potential offers.
I still think he played hurt in the second half of the season.

Justin Fargas was released by Oakland
Usually I’m not in favor of signing anyone that gets cut by the Raiders, but he could fill the Mike Bell role quite nicely.

Justin Fargas-RB- Raiders Mar. 6 – 7:55 pm et
According to Scout.com’s Adam Caplan, Justin Fargas failed his latest physical in Oakland.
Fargas missed time late in the season with a knee injury that required draining. Teams aren’t going to be rushing out to sign a gimpy 30-year-old, so he’s not going to draw immediate interest on the open market.

I heard this too
I would like them to look into Fargas. I’ve always liked his effort in that stinkhole in Oakland. Maybe getting with a winner would remotivate him.
(The other) Adrian Peterson would be a nice pick up for the Saints, imo. The Bears just signed Chester Taylor and they still have Garrett Wolfe under contract, so I seriously doubt he’ll be back. 30 years old, but every bit the effort guy (big heart) and a great contributor on special teams.
