Derek Anderson is now available
Dissatisfied with Mark Brunell? Want a young reclamation project? Tend more to view the glass as half-full than as...well, empty? Derek Anderson may be your guy. And he was released, so we can sign him now.

Shaun Hill, Shaun Hill, Shaun Hill, Shaun Hill
Anderson is a young guy who seems like an old guy. Head case. Paging Dr. Melfi… How can you throw for 3700 yds and 29 touchdowns and then suck that badly? He made a ton of money off of the 2007 season. I doubt if he’d even respond to an offer from Mickey.
Stop yelling at me, I’m doing the best I can.

Dr. Melfi could probably help both of these guys

Derek Anderson-QB- Browns Mar. 9 – 4:32 pm et
ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes the Cardinals will “make a bid for and eventually land” free agent Derek Anderson.
Beat writer Kent Somers has also written of the Cardinals’ interest in Anderson, who would conceivably push Matt Leinart for the starting job in training camp. Leinart will look fantastic compared to the erratic Anderson, so it would do wonders for his confidence.

Anderson could become the Saints starter over Brees
I mean, Anderson is six inches taller than Brees, so he must be better, right? This affair with Drew has been nice and all, but it’s time to move on. Derek Anderson could be the Saints’ futur……….bwah….I can’t even finish typing this. It’s just too absurd. Sorry, Drew. Just kidding.
No, no, no. I think Anderson is damaged goods. I wonder if he isn’t already another Joey Harrington head case with shattered confidence.

Perfect
He was released, therefore we can sign him.
He has been a successful starter (unlike Harrington, unlike Hill)
I’m not convinced he’s a ‘head case’ as much as he had the misfortune of playing for the Browns, and last year as half a QB committee for the Browns. (it’s the browns that are erratic)
We only need him to be a backup, not the QB of the future.
Sign the man!

And
He’s replacing Brunell! He has to be an upgrade.

yeah obviously he has what it takes...
he just lost it at one point and now trying to get it back…i think leaving the browns (well them cutting him) was the best thing that could happen for the guy
