Just finished watching the Super Bowl Champion DVD
And it was totally awesome!!!! If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. Re-live the highs and lows of the entire season. I could feel the tears in my eyes when I saw the Hartley kick and the Porter pick again. And they show a lot of the highlights with the calls by Jim Henderson. Pigs have flown, Hell has frozen over, the Saints are on their way to the Super Bowl!!!!! It's picked off, it's picked off!!!! So great! Classic!!! I'm glad I bought it and I can't wait for the America's Game DVD to come out!!!! They also have a bunch of great special features. Anyway, just thought I'd bring it up

Hit me up on the sticks! NBA2K10 is my game now.
It’s the highlights from all 19 games, including the Super Bowl, correct? No games in their entirety?

its the highlights from the whole season
plus some special features (the halftime show with the who, two about hargrove, one about shockey, one about hiring of sp, and one of the post game celebration)
i would like to get the sb in its entirety
Yes, Sean Payton is the new Zorro. He leads wild adventures, quaffs the finest wines, embarrasses his enemies and leaves a extravagant calling card in his wake. Try as you might to stop him, but he's always one sip ahead.

btw, now i know why everybody hated the halftime show
it sounded great at the game, whoever mixed the music for tv and the dvd should be shot.

"I hope I die before I get old"?????
During the late sixties, The Who was one of the best rock ‘n roll bands to ever take a stage. Anyone who saw them live during that time knows what I’m talking about. That halftime show severely deminished their legacy. After a few minutes, I couldn’t watch anymore. Some things are better left to memory.
They sounded phenomenal in person. Not sure how it translated on to TV.

vocals are just tough for old guys
I think once they got by pinball wizard they let the guitars speak and things got better. But I have to agree they were not the who I remember.
I thought it was pretty good too.

but my favorite LATE Johnny Cash mumbletalksongcover from his final few albums is this one. Whew – just gave me chills and a tear to hear it again…powerful.

Hardly anyone in the US knew who in the hell they were until 1969. The Woodstock film set up Who’s Next. I see them as a ’70’s band rather than a ’60’s band.
What we saw at the Super Bowl was Roger and Pete, two old men making a buck. The song’s been over for quite a long time. I still haven’t seen the TV version yet.
Never been a sinner, I've never sinned

I saw them at St. Bernard Civic Auditorium in 1967
They had just come out with the “Magic Bus” album. I was 16 years old. Only about 250 people showed up. Rather than just go through the paces, Pete Townsend told everyone to gather in close and they proceeded to give one of the best shows I’ve ever seen in my life. At the end of the show, Keith Moon trashed his drums and Pete demolished his guitar and rammed the broken neck through an amp. I always wondered who paid for the equipment back in those days because I figured the replacement cost probably more than negated any profit that could have been made from the show. I saw them twice more years later at the Warehouse (for anyone who remembers that place) during the “Who’s Next” tour. They played the Warehouse two nights in a row because they preferred smaller venues.
But the ’67 show is the one that stands out, because it was so intimate and they gave such a great show despite what had to be an incredibly disappointing number of people in attendance. They were huge in England at the time.
The beauty of it was they only appeared to be about 3 or 4 years older than me and they looked like they were having as good of time as anyone in the audience.
Because ot that show, I always had a great respect for their professionalism. In their day, a great rock and roll band if ever there was one.
They were big in the '70's but they established themselves in the late '60's.
The two best albums they ever made (in my opinion) were “Tommy” and “Live at Leeds”. Both of those were recorded in the late ’60’s. “Live at Leeds” was released in 1970 but it was recorded a couple of years prior. It’s a good example of what the ‘67 show I saw was like. They had a string of top 10 singles when I was in high school and I graduated in ’69. Their biggest singles were Happy Jack, Magic Bus, Pinball Wizard and I’m Free. So, there were more than a few people who had heard of them prior to 1969.
In the sixties, they were more of a straight forward rock band. They were never quite the same after Keith Moon OD’ed in the early 70’s. He was probably one of the three best rock ’n roll drummers of all time. His absense, as much as anything, forced them to change their sound. Their live shows were never the same…. Moon was that important to the group. They seriously considered breaking up after his death, but elected to add two drummers for subsequent tours as that was the only way they could recreate the same sound for their earlier stuff.
What we saw at the Super Bowl was Roger and Pete, two old men making a buck.
Actually, they weren’t paid for that. They got their travel expenses covered but that was it.
And I think that’s probably a reasonably fair price as well.

I agree, though I missed the first few minutes of it, because I had to go take a leak.

Not unlike a Flock of Seagulls, I ran. I also tipped a guy at the front of the concessions line $2 cash to get me a Gatorade, so I wouldn’t have to wait. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Mine came Monday.
I haven’t watched it yet. I’m letting the anticipation build up until I can’t take it anymore.
You need a choice for: all of the above. How can I pick??

Still waiting for mine to arrive
I ordered it minutes after we won the Super Bowl and can’t wait to see it once it gets here.

The second one looks different from the other T-P book. Hmmmm….
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!
The second one is about 2006!
I have it. I plan on reading it to my kids as a storybook, assuming I ever have kids.

Weird...
How sweet to read a french comment on CSC with all the z’s on the right spot! Thanks for the treat.
Oh, and best regard to Suzjo4….
Nah, that's just some dust in my eye....
Is it this one?

I thought that one was only the SB, and not every minute of it.
If it’s highlights from the whole season, I might have to get it.
How long are all the highlights?
Pigs have flown! Hell has frozen over! The Saints HAVE WON the Superbowl!!
Regular season games?
Besides the dvd above (bty do you get the whole game or just highlights?) Are
regular season/playoff game available on dvd? I have most of the Saints games from
the last few years taking up room on my cable hard drive (those broadcast in the uk)
But would love to assemble a collection of past games even , peversely, the game @
Carolina as I saw that on a grainy internet link and can`t remember too much about it.
………….. Maybe that`s a good thing>
Lets GEAUX SAINTS.......... ALL THE WAY!!!!
It's a compilation
of highlights from every game last season. It takes it one game at a time showing the best plays. Also, I know you can get the entire Super Bowl broadcast on Itunes. Not sure about other games though.
Peyton, I can eat Oreos faster than you!!!!
In the poll, we really need an “all of the above” vote option.
For those who can't remember the uncapped FA rules, this link's for you.
Agree with Friar Bob
You could add the onside kick recovery as that demoralised the colts and we didn`t really look back after that, also Porters pick in the last seconds of the NFCC game – just as I was
getting ready to throw my TV out of the window.
Lets GEAUX SAINTS.......... ALL THE WAY!!!!
Just got mine in the mail today
It was great to relive all the great moments. The highlights for the NFC Championship and Super Bowl were very in depth. On a sad note, a lot of the in-game audio from the Super Bowl was from Scott Fujita. It was a little rough to see a lot of great scenes with him knowing he is no longer a part of the team. One of my favorites from Fujita during the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl:
“Peyton! Hey Peyton! I can eat oreos faster than you!”
turns to Scott Shanle
“I told him the oreo joke. I don’t think he liked it.”
"I want to hand this trophy to the MVP of the Super Bowl -- and the MVP of the entire league.''

I know
I added the oreo joke as my signature. I like that part to and added it as a kind of tribute to him. Haha
Peyton, I can eat Oreos faster than you!!!!
Bought it for 20 bucks today
Sat and teared up and then got pumped with the hits by Sharper on Faulk and McCray on Warner.
The base paths belonged to me, the runner. The rules gave me the right. I always went into a bag full speed, feet first. I had sharp spikes on my shoes. If the baseman stood where he had no business to be and got hurt, that was his fault. -Ty Cobb

Got the last BlueRay copy at the Mobile Best Buy yesterday
It’s great.
While the interception was probably the most important play of the season, Hartley’s kick is the play that always blows me away. I was watching it last night (again) and when the kick was good and the sideline and stands go crazy, I was laughing/crying so hard in my den that my wife rushed in to see what was wrong with me. I don’t think that play will ever get old for me.

I ordered it from the NFL shop right after the game and still haven't got it.
Had I known, I would have blown it off and bought it at Best Buy two days ago for $5 cheaper. Aggravating!
you should have done it anyway...

watched the halftime show on the DVD tonight
I thought they were lipsynching in places that night, and now I’m sure of it. Pete wasn’t always playing his guitar live either.
And Tommy doesn't know what day it is
Yeah, he doesn't know who Jesus1000 was or what praying is
Here’s a nice contrast: 5:15 on top of the pops, live vocals and lead guitar (and probably bass, it’s hard to tell on a pc), playing and singing along to the backing track of horns, piano, and others (including drums, as is obvious at the end while they trash the set). I don’t have a problem with this, other than that the performance wasn’t very good.
