Anyone else watch this? It was pretty damn good.

Yea
All I could do was laugh when they said how much Ditka gave up to get him in the draft.

Thanks for the alert, Dan. I would've missed it otherwise.
Thought it was really good. Ricky’s a lot smarter than I thought he was. And a lot more damaged. And the fans and sports media were a lot more stupid and intolerant, in their ignorance.
Got those pretty little straps around your ankles
Agree on all counts
Especially the media reaction. Jay Mariotti calling Ricky “a disgrace to humanity” really defies belief.

Yeah... I agree totally.
(and yw)
Awww, stu… you put RW as your profile pic.
I’ve liked Ricky ever since he came back and seemed to have his head on straight. He seems to be a great team player and still a force at RB.

What a great show.
Seeing some of those highlights from his college days and with the Saints is so bittersweet, because you realize he could have been the greatest running back of all-time. SO fast, SO powerful, SO nimble. I’ve never seen any RB like him in my lifetime.
It never occurred to me that the reason Rickey had such an odd contract with the Saints was because he is such a good person. He wanted to earn his money. That is such an insane concept in football now. I always was under the assumption he was just naive. I feel like a jerk for underestimating him.

Yeah... those highlights were... wow.
I knew he was good, but damn. I agree with you that he could have been the greatest of all time, if he had his head on straight from the beginning.
And, yeah, his contract situation was eye opening… for the 5th(?) pick in the draft he could have had a boatload of guaranteed money.

Funniest quote from the movie.
Off camera: Do you miss your kids?
Ricky: No. No. Only when I think about them.
