Not good news for Charles
Those charges would never have stuck…but they were sufficient to induce him to plead guilty to a misdemeanor.
That establishes his legal culpability for a fight that resulted in the death of a bystander—whose family have already filed a wrongful death suit. And if Georgia has a “deep pockets” law, a civil suit that leaves Grant holding even 1% of the culpability could also leave him holding 100% of the responsibility for the judgment.
Grant needs a new lawyer. Well, too late now.

What? He didn't plead quilty to anything.
He pled “No Contest” to public fighting.
I think this is great news for him.
(The prosecution) admitted in its own opening statement that Grant was trying to break up the fight.
He’s golden.
