Links from Around SB Nation
With such an action packed (for the off-season) week here in Who Dat Nation, let's take a look around the rest of the league and see what's been happening with other teams this week. I scanned all 31 of our NFL blogs here at SB Nation and collected the posts I thought were most interesting or relevant. Give them a read.
- Trenton & Kevin Payne Pass Away - Family Needs STL Rams' Fan's Support - @Kevin_Payne - Turf Show Times - Rams safety Kevin Payne is a regular contributor at Turf Show Times. His latest post is touching.
- The Tuesday Off Topic: Teams We Root Against - The Falcoholic - The blogger formerly known as Dave the Falconer goes bat $^ crazy over the Washington Redskins. Very funny.
- Ravens' Passing Camp Summary - Baltimore Beatdown - Head Ravens blogger Bruce Raffel has the incredible fortune of covering an NFL team that embraces new media like SB Nation blogs and gives them great access. Here is his personal report from this week's OTA/Passing Camp in Owings Mills, MD.
- Eagles sign rookie safety Ryan Hamilton - Bleeding Green Nation - The Eagles picked up Hamilton, recently released by the Saints.
- The Changing Face of the League (Part 1) - Mile High Report - Is the NFL becoming a pass-centric league? A preliminary look at the changing face of offense in the NFL. Another one of those incredibly educational, in-depth posts from our Denver site.
- SABP Special Feature Player Interview-Talkin' With Tyvon - Silver And Black Pride - Tyvon Branch sits down with SB Nation's Raiders blog.
- Q & A With New Texans RB, Ben Tate - Battle Red Blog - Writer Mike Kerns has a Q & A with Texans rookie RB Ben Tate. Cool!
- Panthers Led League in Broken Tackles - Cat Scratch Reader - A statistic by Football Outsiders lists the Panthers as number one in in broken tackles on offense. Panthers fans have something to be excited about.
- Chiefs' Dwayne Bowe Claims He Was Misquoted, ESPN Has Audio - Arrowhead Pride - All those things Dwayne Bowe said about the ladies on the road? He didn't say them.
- On the road with SMP - Pats Pulpit - This one is funny. One writer takes a mythical journey to bring you the truth about the Patriots defense.
- Nick Folk Is Perfect - Gang Green Nation - Nick Folk goes 4 for 4. Wow! Is the Jets off-season really that slow?
- Dolphins' Merling arrested for battery - The Phinsider - More legal trouble for Dolphins. Hitting a pregnant woman? Real nice.
- Jacob Lacey and Philip Wheeler battle each other in dueling shopping cart chariots! - Stampede Blue - Funny Flip video of Jacob Lacey and Philip Wheeler screwing around in a super market.\
- Toby Gerhart Is White, and That's Alright - Daily Norseman - Toby Gerhart hasn't played a single NFL snap yet, but he's already been labeled a "white running back." Gonzo doesn't get it.
- They're Still Whining In Florida - Big Blue View - Our Giants blog thinks fans in Florida should quit complaining about New York/New Jersey being awarded the Super Bowl.
- SBN Arizona Meet Up On June 2nd - Revenge Of The Birds - I thought this was worth sharing. SB Nation is hosting a meet up for readers/fans of all the Phoenix-based team blogs. We need to do something like this.

Nice selection Dave
I really should take the time to lok around SBN. There are some good articles out
there. Not a lot of love for the redskins where does "slurs " originate?
Will be interesting to see how Cody does in the NFL nice job by the Ravens to let
Raffel in.
Where next?
I'll take the blame for Redskins-related lunacy.
Dave’s bout of raving was induced by the Patriots.

Ha an atlanta fan making fun of an Indian nickname
You should ask the Indian nations weather they like the name and mascot of the braves anymore then they like the Redskins
I love it when i have a reason to make fun of the Falcon fans

Not a Braves fan,
but at least Brave has a more positive connotation than Redskin. If you have to use a stereotype, it might as well be a positive one. I guess.
I’m fine with 99% of Native American nicknames. FSU has the blessing of the Seminole nation, for instance. The word Redskin is just a loaded word.

Dave the Falconer's a funny guy, but...
I haven’t run into so many pricks at once since my days as a drunken acupuncturist
I was going to congratulate Dave the Falconer for this inventive invective, but the loyalty oath you have to sign in order to join The Falcoholic and comment really turned me off. :-P
That post at the Falcoholic is getting heated
My comment:
Since Billy "White Shoes" Johnson was a player, I have hated the Falcons. I don’t care if the Saints don’t win any other games just beat the Falcons. I mean like a red headed step child. I keep a diary of "snot-knocker" hits. That is when a Saints player hits a Falcon player hard enough to knock a snot bubble out of his nose. If the Saints could beat the Falcons by 90 points I would die a happy man.
Mwahahaha
