rotoworld.com:
Saints re-signed FS Darren Sharper to a one-year contract.
Sharper, 34, tied for the league lead with nine INTs last season while also chipping in 71 tackles and 15 pass breakups. Though not much of a run-stopping safety, Sharper’s ball skills and aggressiveness in coverage always made New Orleans his best fit under up-tempo coordinator Gregg Williams. 2009 first-round pick Malcolm Jenkins will stay at corner, and battle Randall Gay for nickel back duties. Usama Young will continue to focus on special teams.

to Rotoworld: not so fast
I think they could still move Jenkins to FS, since they drafted P-Rob, who seems most suited for CB. Jenkins will be a back-up this year at either position. Why not let him learn from Sharper while he can? Most of the NFL world seems to think he’d be a great free safety as opposed to being a mediocre to good CB.

Satch, I was trying to find my 2009 preseason prediction for Reggie’s numbers (carries, yards, receptions, yds, tds) and could not find it. But I now have a method for recording bold predictions so I can call them up later. You are on my radar. No offense, you may be correct. But we shall see.

Oooooh, the suspense builds.
I truly believe it’s just a matter of time until Jenkins is moved to FS. Maybe I’m wrong or maybe I’m really, really wrong. If Jenkins some day becomes a Pro Bowl CB, I look forward to having my analysis called out as poop-can material. :)

Are you also tracking my Jessica Simpson crush? :)
Here’s one for you: Within two years, I will have found out if what John Mayer said is true. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. :)
