Congrats and Thanks, Jahri!!

That is a lot of money.
I can’t even contemplate that much money. Wow.
Here's to you, Patrick Robinson, Jesus1000 loves you more than you will know...
Glad we locked him in for the long term
I believe that still leaves Lance Moore, Pierre Thomas, Roman Harper, and lets not forget about Jammal Brown waiting to sign their offers. Some big pieces of the puzzle in there.

<----live in Newport news
where you watch the games at?
Sometimes I’ll go out to Baxter’s in Norfolk, but most of the time I try to catch the game at home. I’m going to try to make it down to Charlotte for the Saints/Panthers game this year.

Norfolk here.
Watched most of the games at either Harry’s (a dive on Chesapeake Blvd.) and The Azalea Inn on Little Creek Road (there is a HUGE Saints contingent there, BTW). The Azalea Inn is nice, but they lost every game I went to watch there last year, so I probably won’t go there anymore. Pity, because their food is amazing.
Sprung for Sunday Ticket this year.
Also thinking of going for the Panthers game this year. Got a cousin that transplanted from NOLA to Charlotte.
yea i'll probaly go to the panthers game also...
should get a va csc tailgate going…
HOLY CRAP!
This is welcomed news. He deserves this payday as he’s widely considered the best in the league at his position. There would be a huge dropoff in offensive efficiency if he went elsewhere.
Now, I hope they get PT and the others locked in for long-term contracts as well. I really want PT to get paid. Dude has been playing his heart out for chump change since he arrived. Reggie probably pays more in yearly taxes than PT has been making each season.

I’m not for paying people a lot but in this case I think J earned it. A little bit much up front but he’s good. After the Sharper news this is very cool.

It's great to see someone enter the league and attain nearly everything he could thus far in his career
He’s a class act and an outstanding football player

I’m calling BS. There’s almost no THC in hemp. Unless he smoked it for the flavor. Which is stupid when he had tobacco to smoke.

Better down the road without that load
I remember Morton
His show was hilarious.

Sharper re-signs
and now Evans gets paid. Now if we can get Pierre re-signed and these phony Vicoden charges dropped, it’ll all be good.
Peyton, I can eat Oreos faster than you!!!!
Phony?
Hmmm…there’s an awful lot of smoke. Can’t tell what’s burning yet, but it’s definitely getting hard to breathe in here.

I think you're right
but I heard he started off with Brandywine in Delaware, then Gateway in Wisconsin, before he advanced to harder things.

There is
an awful lot of smoke. Thankfully, as a fan I can ignore it for now and see how it plays out instead of needlessly raising my blood pressure over it. I see this taking some time to get sorted out.
this is great
season is starting to come together already!! back to back baby
are you a bad fish too?
Outstanding
and well deserved. IMO being generous with your players is involved in building a dynasty.

Good job, Saints!
Now let’s get PT, Roman Harper, Jamaal Brown, and Lance Moore signed up and go get us another Lombardi Trophy!

The long view
I got to say, after the many years (66 forward) of observing the Saints, the recent outbreak of good management and (dare I say it?) class moves is generating some serious cognitive dissnonance. One Super Bowl per 44 years may do it for some people, but some of us are pretty deeply scarred. It’s all just hard to wrap the mind around.

whatever dissnonance is...
I guess that’s why they have the preview button…

you kind of have to love that....
sharper(who i’m very gald to have on the team ) is kind of the showey, top ten plays king who gets his name over everything(and everyone in the world knows who he is) just got a pretty good contract for his age and everything (2-3 mil maybe). But the quiet ..seemingly underappreciated guard who no one knows except saints fans and hardcore other fans is getting 19 million this year…way to go jahri… now keep that up…
This is good news...
But the one contract that worries me is for Mr. Drew Brees. He is woefully underpaid, (8th among QBs in total salary in 2009) and a long term extension has to be in the works. Anybody want to bet on the over/under? My guess is 7 yrs, 120 mil. Some “big-name” QBs that were paid more than Drew? Try Matt Schaub, Jamarcus Russell, Matt Cassell, and Jay Cutler. Let’s get this done now Mr. Benson.
"Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake." -- Napoleon Bonaparte
I wouldn't worry,
per se, but I’m with you on this one. I’d like to see this get done sooner rather than later. It is a business after all, and he has performed miles above anyone’s expectations, except maybe his own, and Payton’s.
That list of QBs that are paid more than Drew is almost nauseating.
That being said, with as little loyalty as there is in this league, I’d like to think he wants to spend the rest of his career in black & gold, sort of as a “thank you” for us taking a chance on him when not many others were willing to do so. That doesn’t mean he’ll take less money, but it’s something to think about.
Then again, I didn’t think Fujita was going anywhere either.
drew brady and manning will probably all have new contracts soon
they will all make somewhere in the 18-20 mil range per year
but with all three its not a matter of if, its more like when
