So one of Stu's tongue-in-cheek comments got me thinking about whether there exist any interesting books on American football. I've spent most of my life as predominantly a soccer fan and I've read a ton of great books on that particular sport, but now my attention is mostly on the NFL (at least, it will be when the World Cup ends) I realise I haven't read a thing about it, outside of SBN and various news outlets. The Times-Picayune review of the Super Bowl winning season doesn't really count.
I've seen a couple of books reviewed on CSC, so I know our membership isn't entirely illiterate. I'd love to hear any recommendations from you guys, whether biography, history of the game or whatever.
